Former Laker Smush Parker returned to Los Angeles in 2007-08 when he was bought out by the Miami Heat and was signed by the Clippers. He appeared in 19 games for the Clippers, starting two of those games. He averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 assists and 1.7 rebounds in those games. (Updated 05/08/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Parker's career in Miami was a short and hectic one. He was placed on the inactive list after getting into an altercation with a female valet parking attendant. In L.A. his career could take a positive turn in 2008-09 if he returns with the team because the point guard job is up for grabs. Sam Cassell has skipped town and Shaun Livingston hasn't played in a season-and-a-half after his kneecap injury, so Parker will have a chance to grab the job in the preseason. He has only an outside chance of winning the gig, but he's worth keeping tabs on for Fantasy purposes. (Updated 05/08/2008).
