Roy undergoes knee surgery: The Oregonian reports that Brandon Roy underwent successful knee surgery Thursday morning and will need 4-to-8 weeks to recover. "He will definitely be playing by the time the season starts," team trainer Jay Jensen said.

Fantasy Analysis

The Trail Blazers don't seem to be too worried about the injury, so we aren't either at this time. Apparently, an MRI taken Tuesday revealed a tear in the meniscus of his left knee. He isn't expected to miss any game action, but it's possible he'll be a little out of shape to start the preseason and possibly the beginning of the regular season. He projects to be a 20-5-5 type and will be worthy of a selection in the first few rounds in all leagues. He'll have Greg Oden around to possibly raise his assist totals.
