Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Josh's Analysis:

There’s little doubt Thunder star Russell Westbrook would love to get a win against the Warriors, even if it’s against a lineup minus former teammate Kevin Durant. Even so, recent results suggest the Warriors are much better than Oklahoma City, and the spread in their Monday meeting is too much of an adjustment. Golden State won the first three meetings by an average of 21 points, including by 16 in the last visit to Oklahoma City as an 8-point favorite. The absence of Durant and Golden State’s reduced form shouldn’t be worth seven points to the line.

Larry's Analysis:

Golden State won the first three meetings handily, but now the Warriors don't have Kevin Durant as they visit a rested OKC team. I'm taking the points with the host Thunder, who have covered five straight games.
