--OF Garret Anderson continued to break out of his slump with a three-hit game Monday, including his second triple in the past week. Anderson has 11 hits in his past 23 at-bats and as many RBIs in his past seven games (11) as he had in the first 30 games of the season.
--3B Brandon Wood was sent back to Class AAA Salt Lake and Matt Brown was recalled. Wood was 4-for-26 (.154) with 11 strikeouts in 11 games in two call-ups with the Angels this season. Brown was tearing it up in Class AAA (.365) but he started Monday against the White Sox and struck out in all four at-bats.
--IF Maicer Izturis played five innings at second base and went 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout in a minor league injury-rehabilitation assignment with Class AAA Rancho Cucamonga on Monday. Izturis (lower back strain) is eligible to come off the disabled list Tuesday.
--RHP Dustin Moseley (tightness right forearm) pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings for Rancho Cucamonga. Moseley allowed three hits, walked two and struck out six of the 16 batters he faced in his first rehab outing.
--OF Vladimir Guerrero's home run Monday was his first in 15 games since April 25. He drove in as many runs Monday (4) as he had in the Angels' previous 25 games. Guerrero has begun to break out of his slump recently. He has eight hits in his past 23 at-bats (.348) including four for extra bases -- two doubles, a triple and Monday's home run.
