He had a shutout working until the seventh inning, when he gave up a two-run home run to Alexei Ramirez. "I just made one mistake, one pitch. That was the game," Sanchez said. Sanchez took the loss, extending his winless streak to four games. He allowed only the two runs on five hits, walking three and striking out six.

    Giants SP Tim Lincecum handed the bullpen a 7-3 lead Thursday against the Astros after pitching six innings. After a four-run eighth inning, Lincecum's sixth win of the season came off the board. Lincecum walked Lance Berkman to start the second but that was his only baserunner until Kaz Matsui's single to start the fourth. Lincecum struck out 10 for his fourth career game with 10 or more Ks and second this year. He allowed three runs, five hits and three walks in six innings. "He had just a little blip (three-run fourth) on the radar there," Berkman said. "He's got as good of stuff as I've ever seen."
