Marlins SP Ricky Nolasco broke a personal three-game losing streak with six strong innings Friday at Washington as the Marlins ran their winning streak to a season-best five games. "It's starting to rub off on everybody now," said Nolasco (2-3), who had won only two of his previous 15 starts and began the season in the bullpen. "I know what that feeling's like, just like what we had in '06. As long as we can just keep feeding off each other, we can go out there and pitch a different game." Nolasco allowed one run, four hits and walked two. He also struck out a season-high six. (Updated 05/10/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Nolasco allowed six earned runs on 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings in his last start, so he clearly made some kind of adjustment. If you omit that one start, however, he has allowed only five earned runs over his last 17 innings (2.65 ERA). He's worth a pickup in all NL-only leagues. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday at Cincinnati. (Updated 05/10/2008).
