Morillo optioned after one outing: Troy Tulowitzki will think twice about slamming his bat in frustration again. There's a healing scar at the base of his right index finger to remind the Colorado Rockies shortstop of the consequences. Tulowitzki was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list Monday, taking his spot at shortstop against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Colorado also reinstated Kip Wells, who's been out since undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot from his pitching hand earlier this season. He's making his first start Monday night since the Rockies' season opener at St. Louis. To make room for Tulowitzki and Wells, the Rockies optioned infielder Joe Koshansky and pitcher Juan Morillo to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Fantasy Analysis

Morillo appeared in one game for Colorado, throwing a shutout frame Sunday against the Pirates. He allowed one hit in a 11-3 win. Morillo has a fastball that makes scouts drool. Command has been a problem for him, but he's been able to iron that out of late. Fantasy owners don't need to add him just yet as he's headed back to the minors, but he's worth monitoring as a young fireballer with a plus fastball.
