A's 3B Eric Chavez (back) played in his first rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento Thursday. Chavez started at DH and hit leadoff against Salt Lake. Unfortunately, he was hitless in four at-bats and struck out once. (Updated 05/16/2008).

Chavez likely won't be ready until June, but he's obviously worth stashing in AL-only leagues until that time. He used to be a regular 30-homer guy until injuries caught up with him.
