Borowski sharp in 1st rehab start: Injured Indians RP Joe Borowski (triceps) made his first rehab appearance for Class A Lake County Monday. Borowski started the game against Lexington and pitched a perfect 1-2-3 first. That's all the work he would get. He did not strike out at batter or issue a walk. Borowski will next make a rehab outing Wednesday.

Fantasy Analysis

Manager Eric Wedge would like to see Borowski pitch a couple of times in the minors before he's activated, but he has said more than once he would resume closing duties upon his return. Rafael Betancourt couldn't hold down the role in Borowski's absence, and now the Indians bullpen is in total flux. Stash Borowski if you can because he has the potential to serve as a No. 2 Fantasy RP when healthy. Continue to track his progress leading up to the next scoring period.

Borowski, out since April 15 with a strained right triceps muscle, is scheduled to pitch in a simulated game Friday, when the Indians start an interleague series in Cincinnati. (Updated 05/15/2008)
