Marlins 22-year-old SP Andrew Miller, coming off his best start of the season in which he gave up two earned runs in six innings, topped it Saturday at Washington. He gave up singles in the first to Cristian Guzman and sixth to Felipe Lopez, but nothing more. He struck out seven and walked one in seven shutout innings, equaling his career highs in innings pitched and strikeouts in winning his third straight decision. "I think we're pretty good," Miller said. "All the guys in here think we're pretty good. I think we're pretty balanced -- especially if the starting pitcher keeps it up. I pitched pretty poorly early in the year." (Updated 05/11/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Miller pitched nothing short of a masterpiece Saturday and deserves a look beyond NL-only leagues at this point. His potential is sky-high, and you don't want to miss out on him if he's starting to make good on it. He'll certainly have his struggles going forward, and you might want to give him another start before putting in a claim for him, but he's clearly taken a step or two in the right direction. His next start is scheduled for Thursday at Cincinnati. (Updated 05/11/2008).
