One of the biggest conversations over at Jets insider earlier this week was the apparant weight Dbrick has put on. One of the guys there is someone who is always at the OTa's and TC for work purposes.
By pics and by his account brick much have added 10-15 pounds to his frame and he has a little belly now. He is still very fast for a man of his size and he hasnt lost any agility.
Shaun Ellis seems to have also gotten bigger but most of it looks like the top half of him which is great he needs more upper body strength.
Kenyon Coleman looks very relaxed during drills seemingly doing ever thing the coaches are asking him with relative ease.
Kris Jenkins is a huge man much bigger than orriganly thought. He has showed tremendous strength and quickness.
Justin Miller looks to be back at full health but is taking these drills extremely light and has only done some running. Most likely due to Mangini wanting to make sure he is OK.
Alan Faneca is participating and looks like the guy we needed. Much bigger than adrian clarke more muscle, the guy even walks better than adrien clarke.

Kerry Rhodes did get a lot bigger since last year! He was sort of lanky last year and was pretty dominate, the only thing i hope is with the bulk and size added to his frame that he has not lost any agility, if anything i hope it got faster. He was as close to dominate as the defense would allow him to be last year, with key additions, proper personnel for the 3-4 he could be that much better this year. His signing was one of the best moves made by the franchise this offseason. I personnely am a big defensive fan and just can not wait to see this Jet defense line up and see what they can do! And it all starts with Jenkins commanding the double teams and clogging up that middle! The line and linebackers will make that quarterback uncomfortable and bad throws will be forced this year instead of Tom Brady sitting back at ease tearing apart the defense.

yea i mean you have to thing Thomas Jones is a workout warrior he probably steped up and took the veteran leadership and got teammates in the weightroom. So more than just Jones and Kerry Rhodes were prolly in there.

I mean when you really think about it, thats the only thing that Kerry Rhodes doesn't do as a safety: kill people. Hopefully his new guns will make him a little more aggressive and we'll see some more big hits out of him. But then again, hopefully he doesn't lose responsibility to go for big hits, which I'm sure he wont. Tackling was the tiny tiny tiny flaw in his game last year in my opinion...but then again, whose looking to knock people out of their helmets with a 4-12 record.

Santana i thought the same thing about Kerry Rhodes tackling sometimes he seemed afraid to hit hard but with these new guns he should be able to pop anyone now.

He's only been playing safety for 6 years give him a break. He changed from QB his sophomore year at Louisville. He's still basically learning the game. I'd rather have a guy make the play then knock someone out across the middle. Rhodes has been great for us his tackling is good enough even though he doesn't crack people. Look at Victor Green he loved to hit people but couldn't cover a lick and got beat all the time for TD's.

BIGTIME, i agree. Plus a big hitting safety doesn't make a defence. Rhodes is a great tackler, shows great awarness, has great ball skills, knows what to do and like bigtime said he's only been playing safety for 6 years, and the way he's playing he's making good progress. Rhodes, from the way play, never change (except improvement).

Bigtime im not complain at all about Kerry Rhodes its just reality that sometimes he would go to tackle and get boucned off or would need help.
Rhodes is the BEST player on this team on either side of the ball, he's a true ball-hawk he can blitz like the bets of them he can cover very good and is extremely smart, with these new "guns" of his im expecting him to blow some people up and get a couple of looks on "Jacked Up!!"

Yeah #1, thats exactly what I'm saying. Its definatley not a knock on him. He's by far the best player on the team and I'm pretty sure I made it clear that I'de much rather him be who he is now than a hard-hitting safety.
