I mentioned this a few posts ago.
Can anyone help me with a song that begins with "See how they run" and has the lyric, "and you know, yeah you know, you know, yeah you know, you know what you're doin'. I'm thinking early 70s, high CSNY type harmonies. Kind of catchy, acoustic riffs, fast-paced . Heard it in one of those satellite stations in a convenience store Googling it gets me nowhere

CLean, the "See how they run" makes me think of "Lady madonna," but the rest of it doesn't fit. The "you know what you're doin'" part sounds familiar, but it's not coming to me. I'll keep thinking about it, though.

Another part of this mystery song is at the end, all the group members go into an "aahhh-ahhhh- yah! for a few repeats, and then the abrupt ending on the last 'yah'

Clean, here's a longshot, but if your memory is like mine, it could work!
Never Been Any Reason
by Head East
Did you see any action? Did you make any friends?
Would you like some affection? Before I leave again.
I've been walking behind you, since you've been able to see.
There's never been any reason, for you to think about me.
Did you have any bad dreams, did you break any glass?
Would you be my companion, is there even a chance?
You've been talking in circles, since I've been able to cry.
There's never been any reason, for ever telling me why, yea, yea.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Woman with the sweet lov'in, better than a white line.
Bring a good feeling ain't had in such a long time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Have you ever been lonely? Do you have any fun?
Do you ever think of me? I'm just no one. Yea.
You never give me no answer, you never tell me the truth.
There's never been any reason. For me to think about you.
There's never been any reason.
There's never been any reason. Yea.
There's never been any reason.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Woman with the sweet lov'in, better than a white line.
Don't you know she could bring a good feeling ain't had in such a long time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Whoa.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.
Save my life, I'm going down for the last time.

Another longshot:
Funk No. 49
by James Gang
Sleep all day, out all night
I know where you're goin'
I don't think that's actin' right
You don't think it's showin'
Jumpin' up, fallin' down
Don't misunderstand me
You don't think that I know your plan
What you try'n'-a hand me?
Out all night, sleep all day
I know what you're doin'
If you're gonna act that way
I think there's trouble brewin'

Hey Rock. Can't stay, but realized I gave you a bad hint on my lyrics post. Try artists with animal names. I had the same thought about Lady Madonna, tried looking for cover versions with no luck. Reposting previous lyrics.
Don't want to work away
Doin' just what they all say
"Work hard boy and you'll find
One day you'll have a job like mine"
'Cause I know for sure
Nobody should be that poor
To say yes or sink low
Because you happen to say so, say so, you say so
Gotta go.

Actually, Fan, I had a thought on your artist, and I think you confirmed it with that clue. Still don't know the song, but is it by Cat Stevens? Don't know why that popped in my head, but it did.

First thing I remember was askin' Papa, why? ,
For there were many things I didn't know.
And Daddy always smiled; took me by the hand,
Sayin', "Someday you'll understand."

Listen to the tide slowly turning,
Wash all our heartaches away.
We are part of the fire that is burning,
And from the ashes we can build another day
