i say it depends on if the Mavericks get good draft picks, and maybe free agent picks.
Okafur is a good addition if they can get him, but i say Baron Davis is to out of reach. it also depends if howard and other players can step up, or they will need to get rid of them, like jones.

wow thats shocking i mean im a diehard mavs fan but i really dont see them in the top five i think it should be

1. Lakers    2. Hornets    3. Jazz    4. Spurs   5. Rockets   6. Mavericks   7.Suns   8. Portland

on the bubble would be Denver and Golden State.. Portland looks way to young and rising to miss the playoffs..

But the Mavericks i dont see them doing that great but falling back to a team that makes the playoffs and then not having a chance.. I say that now but i really do hope Rick can turn this team back around.. We need some good offseason moves without getting rid of the main guys which is gonna be hard cuz all we have after that are guys slowly turning into old codgers

This will be fun to see how accurate we can guess for next year. I'll say:

1 - Lakers
2 - Jazz
3 - Hornets
4 - Rockets
5 - Spurs
6 - Mavs
7 - Portland
8 - Golden State

That leaves the Suns and Nuggets crying at home. I think there are going to be some major shake ups for the Nuggets at some point. Southwest Division will continue to be the most competitive.

if u look at wat rick has done with former temas turnarounds i really believe he will make us really good i think we will be in tyop 5 i personally think the Suns will take a huge hit but i agree with portland they r getting good
