When are the MLB schedule makers going to remember that Toronto is not in United States, but in Canada, and that we have different holidays?  Ok, fine the Jays have the day off on Monday along with the rest of Canada, but why do they have an afternoon game at home on Memorial Day (a U.S. holiday, not a holiday in Canada).  To me it would make more sense to have the Jays play an afternoon game at home for the May Two-Four weekend.   Might get a few more fans out to the park that way.  And the Jays are on the road on Canada Day again. Throw the Blue Jays a bone MLB! Put the Jays on the road for every American holiday, but at home for every Canadian holiday!  It doesn't take Rocket Science to figure this one out.

I guess they think that Seattle is close enough to Canada.

That's so dumb!!

Ya,  it doesnt seem right.  The Jays should have a home day game tomorrow at least.  However, I am not complaining about the Seattle Canada Day series.  My kids and I will be driving down for that one.

Being from SK, we really only have Seattle and Minneapolis to chose from.  With the Twins series being last week, I was happy the Seattle series is a few days after school is out.

So the scheduling does work for some of us in Western Canada!!!  LOL

I couldnt agree wit u more RTG, im from southern ontario and was shocked to see the jays werent even playing today, nm there was no games on at all.  It goes to show you how ignorant the Americans really are.  Theyd sooner have a game on Christmas day then have the Jays play on a Canadian holiday for Canadains. btw 23-23 at .500 Lets take it to the Angels and catch the over rated Bal, and TB.    GO JAYS GO

I completely agree with you...

Back when the expos were around we used to play them every Canada Day weekend and those games were always well attended, even in those days when we struggled mightily getting decent attendance figures. Now we dont even get games on Holidays. I cannot imagine the Jays organization are happy with this, but everytime you hear them complaining about the schedule they are always complaining about not having Boston and New York come in for weekend series. I think this is much more of an issue then that....

Bring the holiday games back!
