I know this does not apply to all of the fans (especially many that are on these message boards), but the fans at the Spurs game showed complete lack of class.

While the play was legal, I thought the foul from Horry was a little on the cheap side (bumping hard on an injurred back knowing it would further injure him).  However, that's not where I had a problem.  As D. West was laying on the ground in obvious pain, the fans were cheering for Horry.  That right there showed a complete lack of class.  I did not see what sort of response D. West recieved as he was being helped off the floor, but I would not put it past the ones that could be heard to boo him as he is assissted off the court.

Again, I know it doesn't apply to all of the Spurs fans; just the most vocal.

**I agree with you 100% MSANCH! At times it is really questionable why the fans get so obnoxious.(alcohol?) Remember when Horry hip checked Nash into the tables? The fans thought that was the coolest thing they ever saw. Nash got it bad from the fans. Granted Nash is second or third in flopping next to Tony Longoria,Timmy, or Manu. I remember going to a Dallas/Spurs game and they escorted a guy out because every time Dirk would get the ball this guy would start yelling "F@# NAZI!! You suck!" "Hitler" That to me was a new low for Spurs fans. I am a Laker fan and I live in San Antonio. Every game that I have gone to I get into it with those dumbasses. Its not enough to be a fan. they take things to that next level. I invite the drama I guess cause I represent L.A. no matter what. I really like the Spurs TEAM. But I have come to really not like a huge majority of the fans out here. I have a ton of friends here who are all Spurs fans and Laker fans. If these assses see a flag or bumper sticker that is not Spurs related, your shit will get vandalized. Its the same thing everywhere though. Just maybe not as bad. When I lived in L.A. I remember people ribbing non Laker fans so I guess it is just part of the love of the game.

I caught that as well.  I think it was probably because David West was so vocal about receiving so many questionable foul calls.  Nevertheless, the crowd and Horry's reaction (he grinned and put his hands up) were not in the best taste.  Oh well, D. West has until Monday night to heal so he should be fine.

I was totaly surprised when I heard the crowd cheering for Horry.  I am in no way saying he did it on purpose, I dont know?  But when a man is injured on the ground and the classless fans could be heard cheering for Horry that was horrible.  Every sporting event I have ever been to when a player gets injured (my team or the opposing team) people have always had respect and cheered for them when they were carried off, myself included.

Before this series I had no problems with San Antonio I have always thought they were a great team but after hearing the cheering the other night I hope the Hornets destroy them on Monday night.  I am not going to make predictions it can go either way.  But if their fans are going to act like animals then they need to be put down like animals.

Let me say this to the Spurs fans I am in no way saying all are classless but there were quite a few that could be heard cheering.  We will see what happens Monday.

I agree by all means thought it was classless.  And it seemed to be a lot of them who were cheering for Horry.  I know a lot of fans wouldn't cheer if someone was down but some Spurs fans appreciate that type of chippy play like Bowen does as well and Horry and the flopping.  What frustrated West in the first place. By all means not lumping all into one category but that was very cheap of them in the arena.

But lets be real you don't get more classless than Celtics, Lakers and Pistons fans. We can agree on that, right?
