What's going on with Brett Myers?

I have no evidence to back this up except for the fact that he is getting shelled every game but I think he might be hurt and not telling anyone. He's that stubborn/stupid to do something like that. He has no velocity and his placement is terrible. You can't give Chipper Jones a fastball that gets all of the plate. I think the more he struggles the worse it will be for him to shake off whatever is bothering him. I think poor mechanics are effecting him physically now that he has to go back to the rotation. The coaching staff needs to break him down and see what the heck is going on. Pitchers are smart enough to know if it's a mental problem or a mechanic problem. Someone need to break him for sure.

He has to make some adjustments. I don't know what they are, but if he is healthy and getting hit like he is, I would think it's location.

I hope he figures it out soon, I agree with you guys, it's hard to watch.

Its time to move Brett Myers before his stock value drops any lower.  He doesn't seem to have what it takes to be successful in the bigs.  He did a better than adequate job as a closer last year.  Each spring for last couple of years he's supposed to be the guy in the Phillies rotation, and each year he gets shelled.  Why so many lives for this guy?

Yes, yes--harsh.  But am I the only one that's disappointed in him darn near EVERY year?

I usually put stock in Tal's projections, but I don't see it so far for Brett Myers.  Maybe tonight will be the start of his turnaround?   Yeah-yeah, I know......

Which Durbin?  I thought J.D. Durbin would be in the rotation this year.  Whatever happened to him?  Chad Durbin?  Does he merit a start for the Phillies?  I am worried about how many starts Jamie Moyer has left in his arm!

I didn't realize that Myers' 'closer' stats were so good last year.  I assumed that getting Brad Lidge was to have a real closer.  It looked like Myers only had 3 blown saves last year--is that REALLY correct?  It seemed like with all of our blown-lead losses last year, that it would've been far worst.  I do recall that Tom Gordon had an especially bad stretch, too.
