I'll say 1st reason being starting pitching. I still think the Tigers have enough talent and bats to hit their way back into it. They havent been playing well and look how close they are to the rest of the teams. I like what the Twins are doing even though Hunter is gone. That Gomez kid is gonna be a star. Royals and Sox will hang around for awhile but I think the Tribe and Tigers will eventualy pull away. I Hope!! Lets sweep this doubleheader today! GO TRIBE

At this rate, an 81-81 record could win the division. I don't think the Indians will win 90, honestly.

I agree it looks like the Tribe won't win 90 games with the way they're hitting right now.....but let's not forget last year.  Almost everyone but a handful of us thought that the Tribe had no shot at winning the division last year in July/early August when the Tribe was going through that major slump.  How'd that work out?  96 wins, tied for most in all of baseball.

All I'm saying is be patient (easier said than done I know).  It's still only May and we're only 1.5 games out of first with our starters nearly unhittable.  The team will be fine.  Need JoeBo back and some hitting and they'll be over 90 wins and deep in the playoffs again.

A week ago I would of said 'us'. Our pitching & defense were up there with the best. Now it's all falling apart. The SPs have all lost this week, opponents are ringing up high numbers with our card. If we dont find a way to turn this around soon we'll find ourselves battling the Tigers for rights to the cellar

I say first reason being if you look at the last week or so they  have  beat 2 of the better starters in the AL (Halladay and Wang) I think they are coming out of there Offensive Funk.

I think if the offense gets its problem with consistency worked out, this is another ALDS championship team, atleast. Obviously my vote goes to the tribe finishing in first place, because im a straight up homer for my team. But another excellent season seems to be in the makings.
