Not sure about Tapeh.. The Eagles had decided not to give him an offer when his contract went out, and it looks like they are instead leaning to a converted linebacker, a converted DT (Klecko), and a practice squad guy or two to battle it out.  He was a solid lead blocker, but didn't do much else.  I would have liked to see him be a little more active in pass blocking, or receiving.

Boulware is nice (other than getting completely and embarrasingly owned by Marion Barber last year if I remember right), and Allen should be a big pickup, as well as Berrian.

I could see Viking fans expecting a 9-10 win season and a pretty good chance of a playoff berth even if the passing game and pass D doesn't substantially improve.

Slashsnake, I would love for a 9-10 win season and anything is possible but we have a horrific schedule that is going to take some great play from our team to get to that point.  Again only time will tell and this team definitely has the talent to do it.  But we will need to be on top of our game cause it wont be easy.

protection for Tarvaris Jackson sometimes wasn't that great he had pass rec that could not catch the ball as raw as he was he played ok to expect him to perform wonders is unfair the Vikings D-Line should has a shot at being very good just hope nobody gets hurt! the Vikings should have a very good team in the NFL

Well actually I was going off another post that I was on where someone was showing the stats between Jennings and Berrian.  I do not think that Berrian is better than Jennings, but its not so one sided as you guys are saying.  Jennings has had Favre throwing him the ball, that helps any receiver.  Berrian has done good with the likes of Grossman, Orton, and Greise.  Dont tell me Favre has nothing to do with it.  On to Grant, how can you honestly say that Favre had nothing to do with Grants success last year.  He never ever had to face more than 6 guys in the box because of the fear of Favre and the passing game.  Look I am a ND homer and like Grant, but a lot of his success was because of Favre last year.  And look Packer fans don't be trying to talk your smack to me.  I have not said one deroggatory comment about your team other than comparibles in my posts.  I dont hate GB and if it is not the VIkes then I guess I dont mind seeing the Pack, granted that was with Favre cause I loved the guy.  Now that you have Rodgers my outlook might change a little.  Relax, you Packer fans are such smart a$$es.  Just admit it is going to be a tough year for this division crown, both teams are as equally talented and it should be a good run.  Good Luck.

This is a good defensive line, I think Kevin Williams is the best defensive tackle in the league right now, but this d-line isnt as good as the '87 line with Keith Mallard and John Randall. The Vikings fate rest 100% on T-Jack. At the end of last year, after Adrian Peterson went off on the Bears and Chargers, teams started putting 8-9 guys in the box. AD was stopped and Jackson wasn't talented enough to take advantage of the situation. If Tarvaris Jackson doesn't improve greatly, the Vikings will be a 6-8 win team. If he does start to become a legitamate NFL QB, the Vikings could win up to 11-12 games.

I am getting sick and tired of people saying Grant was good last year because of Favre and Jennings had Favre throw the ball to him. Yeah he did but all Favre is doing is throwing the pass. Jennings had the ability to catch and run with the ball. There Favre had nothing to do with it.

and if you are saying Jennings was good because of Favre, then Wayne must not be good without Peyton Manning or Welker wouldn't be any good without Brady. Be realistic. I betcha Adrian Peterson wouldn't of never been any good with that O-line the Vikes had too.
