I can't stand Kyle Busch and don't know why!

Before I started to really listen to interviews and my Nascar favorites were limited to my favorite make car or maybe a sponsor, I never gave much respect to Dale Jr.  I petty much rooted against him because he was so popular.  Now that I have gotten into racing on a more knowledgable scale and once you really listen to what drivers say and do, I have done a 180 and have to say that Dale Jr. is my favorite driver.  He is a a straight talker, he calls it like it is, he doesn't make excuses, and he keeps his cool.  I have great respect for Dale Jr. now.

As far as Kyle Bush, he is a great driver.  Beyond that he is an idiot.  (Cry baby, excuse for everything, personallity of a piece of cardboard.....you get the idea)  Don't feel bad not knowing why you don't like him.  He's like the kid in High School that nobody liked not because he was not athletic or smart, but because he was a gomer.

       Maybe you missed my point...................when I hadn't paid much attention to the actual drivers I didn't give much credit to Jr.  Now after watching how he conducts business I can understand why he is so popular and I also have moved him to my favorite driver column. 

Name one other driver that can even come close to blending disposition, honesty, competiveness, likeability, sponsor appeal, fan appeal all into one polished package.

Now that he has the equipment to compete his accomplishment list will grow by leaps and bounds.  He's fourth in the standings currently 30 points off the leader.  In Nascar in my opinion there are only about a dozen drivers each week that have a reasonable chance of winning a race based on driving and equipement. (3 Rousch, 3 Gibbs, 3 Childress, 3 Hendrick)  The rest of the field is chasing scraps. 

You my fine feathered friend are the loser if you can not understand that.

Alot of things you say Jr. hasn't won anything but a few Busch Championships and a few Winston, Sprint, Nextel, what ever there calling it this year Races. So I guess all us Dale Jr. fans should just quit watching and quit going to races and by stuff. So thanks for showing us all the light! Yeah right, I hope and I pray that kid wins some championship, and alot more races. I've never wanted a person to  do better than I wish for Dale JR. he is so humble and he don't cry like kyle does when he knows he was wrecked he just says thats racing.

How could you ever call such a cool guy a loser? your the loser Dale Jr. is almost as cool as Allen Jackson. Not yet but if he would win a championship yeah baby..

As a nascar newbie, I personally am a fan of Busch. I don't much care for what at times seems to be a lot of whining, and sore sportsmanship when things dont go well, but his aggressiveness impresses the hell out of me. He seems to want to win every lap of every race. I am pretty sure at some point it is going to bite him in the ass a time or two but I tend to like aggressive rather than conservative in sports.

As for why you dont like him. Obviously, being a dale jr fan you cant help but hate him after last week. It was definitely a wreck that could be seen either of a few different ways depending on your loyalties. As a Busch fan I tend to think 'neither guy gave an inch, he got loose and wound up taking dale out." That said, i can certainly see how Jr fans could look at the same tape and think 'the little bastard just took him out'. Truth be told that was MY first reaction when it happened and I started wondering if I had picked the right driver to root for.

More than that though,  I think it is just a matter of him not being on your team or being 'your driver' . That happens a lot in sports. If the talented brat(or pain in the ass) is on your team hes GREAT. If he is NOT on your team hes just a rich,overpaid spoiled athlete. A couple of examples off the top of my head.

Baseball: Manny Ramirez, for years played for the cleveland indians and I couldn't stand his lackluster attitude at times. Now he has been with my Redsox for the past several years and it has become 'well thats just manny being manny'.

Basketball: Dennis Rodman: I never liked him at all in any way shape or form. He just irked the piss out of me more often than not. If he had ever been on the Celtics, I am guessing I would have thought differently. When he was with the pistons I imagine bulls fans thought he was a cheap shot artist, When he became a bull the cheap shot artist suddenly became a 'hard nosed player willing to do the dirty work that needed to be done.'

All that said, I too am glad to see Jr doing so well. Hell if not for the rest of the nascar world (or at least EVERYONE at work), seeming to be a Jr fan he likely would have been my choice to root for.
