Sergio putted well today. Although he was last in putting, he didn't putt that badly. That can be a deceiving stat. He was first in GIR this week, so he had to putt alot. He wasn't on the fringe or off the green to chip close and pick up a 1-putt on his tally. He did miss a couple of shorties, but made some big putts today, especially on the back 9. He stayed close and shot -2 coming in. He outplayed everyone and came out on top. I think it's that simple. Goydos played very well, but had plenty of gifts. The pitch/slash out of the rough on 10 was one of those. I know these guys practice alot, but the shot Goydos made had to be 1 in 50, if not more, for the pros. I enjoyed watching him play, but am happy to see that Sergio can still win. Let's see if he can follow that up with a couple of more this year. Then we will know he is back and could step up to the plate to take a swing at Tiger. It's only one win in the last 30 months, so there is a long, long way to go yet....
