is there a move more cowardly than turco's constant delays of game by knocking the net off when the ref looks away.  for one of the best skating goalies in the league, its funny that he always falls at the slightest nudge straight into the crossbar to stop play.

stop stealing cheap stoppages in play turco, and play hockey like a real man!  i actually like dallas overall, but i will never cheer for that cheap hack of a goalie.  that much talent and he still resorts to those tactics?  he's no better than Dominik Hasek in my mind (the other cheap goalie with tons of talent).  both of them just need to grow a pair.

I love Turco as a Michigan alum, but, who does the Dallas coach think he is complaining about Osgood, considering all of the cheap shots Turco has been taking? He has gotten away with swatting at Wings players, tripping them, intentionally pulling the net loose, and their coach wants to complain about Osgood brushing against Ribeiro? Does he want to be the pot or the kettle?

Davii323 I totally agree. Osgood brushed Ribeiro. The reason he fell was he seen it coming and he tried to avoid it. But the first game of the series Turco trips Holmer, Datsyuk and Zetterburg and the refs got no calls for either. Osgood di put his stick out but so does every opther goalie in the league when someone goes full speed for the puck behind the net. Ribeiro should have known to keep his cool and not hit him with his stick. Idc drove your gloves and punch him, hack him in the leg, but dont pull your stickto your midsection and swing it half like a baseball bat. Totally un sportsmansship. I hope the league does whats right and suspends him a game or so.

Even though I'm a Dallas fan and I like Turco a lot, I've got to agree with the OP.  Tactics like this just make the game unwatchable.  I fully expect for Bettman and the league officials to send out something like the Avery memo instructing refs to call crap like this "unsportsmanlike conduct" before next season.

Ozzie knew what he was doing. He was trying to get under the skin of Ribeiro. and it worked. Good job Oz! You know that Oz got a big welcome in the dressing room after the game. The Wings were probably all pumped that Oz got a shot in. That is teamwork baby!

As for Turco, he said the play was "pretty gutless". Kind of like his banging away at Holmstrom all night! Shots to the back of the head, sticks to the groin. He even tripped Filppula skating by the crease.  Turco should stop running his mouth after the game, Ozzie might have to take HIM out (ala Roy)!

Go Wings!

All goalies stick their paddle out when a player comes around the crease.  Ozgood did catch him with the stick but what Ribeiro did was worth at least a series suspension if not more.  Turco should keep his trap shut.  Everyone watched what he did all game long.

I do not think Ozzie tried to hit him in the face with the butt end of the stick but if he did try then he is no better.

If Rebeiro gets a suspension for that play then every freaking minor penalty in the game deserves a suspension.  Biggest joke ever is him gettin a match penalty for that crap.  Hopefully Campbell uses his head and doesn't pander whining Wings...Osgood deserves an Oscar....

Tenacious - so far, from what I can tell, you are the only Dallas fan who has responded to this thread.  And you seem to think that Turco was off base in his actions.  I am curious what other Stars fans think about this whole thing.  Reading this so far, all the support seems to weigh in for the Wings.  I have not seen it yet, I couldn't watch the game and I haven't had a chance to even catch Sportscenter yet, but I am going to turn it on now and see what I can see.  Will be interesting to see what the league does.  My guess is they will suspend players from both sides, not singling one out.

Well, maybe I should clarify my comments a little bit.  I think that the whole "intentionally knocking the net off its moorings" tactic is annoying and cowardly, and I'd like to see the league start calling it as unsportsmanlike conduct.  That's the specific practice I was talking about in my first post.

As for the people whining about Turco hitting people with his stick...I mean, fine, you can call that a penalty and I won't complain, as long as it's called evenly.  It amazes me that Turco gets as much crap for that as he does, considering every goalie in the league does it.  Hell, we have video evidence of Osgood doing it aft
