This course  is a great looking place, but it is spread all out  so much, it was hard to get to the practice areas and back to see players tee off.  So we went straight to the 17th.   Got there about 9;00am.  (Those stands on the 17th, fill up  fast.)  We stood  at the top of the GREEN  stand, directly in front of the 17th green.  The players had to walk under the stand to go to the 18th tee.

The wind was blowing  today, so where we stood, against the rail, at the top, was not bad at all.

Did you see Cink's 57' birdie putt?  The crowd went wild.

I don't know what all they were showing on TV,  but some balls rolled to the very edge before they stopped.  It is great to be in the crowd and be a part of the reaction  when some  hits the water, almost hits , and makes birds.

No autographs this time, The 18th green was too far away  for me to run  back and forth.  So I didn't have to push some little  kid out of my way!!

Your updates are well received.... thanks.!!.  I commend your dedication to this message board.  Here you are, attending the "Players", enjoying the 17th, and posting updates on the day's activities.

Go "soak-up" the golf atmosphere and enjoy yourself. . . .

Thanks again . .

Nice job ILG - Your descriptive of the 17th is better than the announcers were giving us.  It's tough to tell how the shots are in the air, even with the HD.  Sometimes the crowd reaction is the only sense of what's happening.  The murmurs grow into a small roar as balls get closer to the water.

You should have free reign tomorrow for autographs, being Mother's Day and all.  Happy Mother's Day.

Go K. Perry!
