I thought LB taught us that big names don't necessarily translate into success on the court....if the choice of D'Antoni tells us anything, changes need to take place, but how soon is now? There's no way this guy is going to win anything with the current cast of characters and his coaching philosophy.

Avery Johnson or Mark Jackson would have been better choices. Hope you know what you're doing, Donnie.

There's a difference between LB and D'Antoni.  LB always destroyed the team he inherited and built his wasy, much to the chagrin of GM's and fans everywhere.  He did it with the Pacers, Pistons, Jayhawks, etc.  Knicks fans don't have that much patience plus Brown likes robots and not players.  I never wanted LB but I did want this guy, or Avery Johnson, or Mark Jackson.  In this case, the Knicks could not lose.  This is a better situation for D'Antoni and the knicks than LB was.  LB and Isaih never meshed because they both want total control.  Walsh wanted D'Antoni and D'Antoni wanted to work for Walsh.  Alot better situation.

Walsh wanted D'Antoni and D'Antoni wanted to work for Walsh.

Actually, if you can believe what you read, D'Antoni wanted to work for the Bull's, but for Dolan's money....
