You're right about our history with WR's, and that we should all be careful about the expectations for Manningham. But the WR situation for next year is simple. Barring injury, it's Plaxico, Toomer, Smith, Manningham, Tyree, and Moss. I don't even know who London is, but Jennings is just as expendable as Moss is, and they didn't spend a second-round draft pick on Jennings. And while it doesn't seem like it, Moss has actually been more productive than Jennings. Remember, after Toomer's second year people were calling him a bust too - it wasn't until his fourth season that he truly broke out. Tyree has been adequate as a WR when he's played (not counting the Super Bowl, when he was superb), and he's a demon on special teams. He's not going anywhere, nor should he.

I agree that Giants fans need to be careful with expectations. I'm thrilled with the Manningham pick up but it'll be a few years before we know how well it is working out.

I do like the fact that he doesn't need to be a star right way. Hopefully, it will work out for Manningham & the Giants...here's to Mario Manningham being a model citizen and solid player!
