Edge, that was a very well thought out post, and I'm sure parts of it were painful to write. But I can't say I agree with you on game 2 being do or die for the Stars. Granted, no one wants to go down 0-2 in a series but it isn't a completely insurmountable obstacle either. Being a Red Wings fan I am never comfortable with any lead (for more info on that check out a blog by a member Chargers&Wings called "Being a Red Wings fan" it'll explain everything). The Stars got off to a bad start in game one, I do agree. But I certainly don't think that was any indication of how this series will go. Now that the Stars have gotten a chance to feel out the Red Wings I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of the changes you mentioned in your post. In addition to that I can certainly see the Stars coming out with a lot more confidence and discipline in game two, if we don't see THAT, then I would start to worry.

Basically don't get down on one game, there are (potentially) six more to go.

I hear you, wing. I have to say though, coming back from 0-2 and another demoralizing loss, while not the end of the series for certain, will make the task gargantuan. It is not impossible that the Stars may win having gown down 0-2, but the the time to take the monentum is definitely now. What the Stars DO undoubetly have to do is compete on a par that  the Red Wings have set. If there isnt sginificant progress in that tonight, this is a forgone conclusion.

Incidentally, you're the most rational Wings fan I have read to date : )
