I am in agreement with your points Baby G, particularly as to course set up..while it may be somewhat of a "tricked up" course.. par is definitely meaningful & all these gents are playing from the same tees, as someone ..I think it was IHO noted luck does not favor any one over the long haul therefore it all equals out...long term.
Wow your musings on Mr. Immelman seem to be bearing reality, I honestly hope he does not turn out to be another C. Perks. This type of a let down has plagued previous Major winners who unfortunately have not gone on to achieve high expectations, you previously noted some of these gents, some of who won the PGA. & then have not really contended in other Majors.
Your assessment of the PGA is very accurate in my minds eye, an examination of previous winners & their career achievements speaks to your ideas regarding luck.
