Another pure conjecture question, just for fun, who do you honestly think will be in the SB next season? My guess:
San Diego Chargers vs Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles are in teh same divison as the Giants and Cowboys which will cancel them out and the Chargers have 3 key players injuried including Phillip Rivers that will be essential to their survivablility to make it all the way.
My choice is the Cowboys and the Jaguars
The Cowboys have the run and passing game they need and a QB that has been to the playoffs enough times that will be experienced enough to take the team on his back.
The Jaguars are a home town favorite but with the addition of a pass rush in Derrick Harvey and Quentin Grooves, not including the DC Gregg Williams and Secondary Coach Donnie Henderson that is all that was missing last year or they too would have moved on to atleast the AFC Championship to play the San Diego Chargers

INFL Bandits,
The homerism in me causes me to applaud your choice; however, being a resident of the River City, I also have followed the Jags off-season moves fairly closely.
I agree that they have moved a bit closer to competing with their arch rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, and they proved in playoffs last season that they are able to hold their own against the Pats. That said, I am still not totally convinced that they are capable of unseating both of those teams in one fell swoop.
On the other hand, I thought my 'Boys were destined for stardom last season, but they came up miserably short in falling to the Giants in the second round. The GMen were the better team on THAT day, and that is the only requirement in a one-and-done playoff scenario.
I like what the 'Boys have done in the off-season to bolster their chances of returning to the playoffs and advancing beyond. The only major question is the plight of WR Terry Glenn, whom everyone at the Ranch seems to believe will be on the field next season. Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips are taking solace in the fact that the 'Boys had a record-setting and record-shattering offense in '07 WITHOUT Glenn.
So, while your choice is intriguing, until proven different, I believe my 'Boys and the Pats are better choices for the SB.

I do not see the Patriots competitive this year.
They may have the easiest schedule in the NFL next year but with the loss on defense and players running off to other teams I can not fatham they be back to the Super Bowl next year. Only one team after a miserable lose has returned the next year and that was the Buffalo Bills. So stats and history are already against theM. The Colts are dangerous with Peyton Manning, but injuries to Marvin Harrison and the increased support at the Jaguars Secondary tells me that they are primed to make a run.
Will it happen I ahve no clue but the AFC South was all clustered and the only ones that meet what NFL analysis thought they needed was the Jags

I'm hoping my Chargers can make it...But realistically there are 4-5 really good AFC teams any of them could get there
Patriots and Tom Brady may not go 16-0 in the reg season, but they'll still be one of the top teams.
Colts will continue to be a force as lone as Payton Manning is the QB. This possibly being Tonys last year coaching could be very motivating as well.
Jaguars are impressive and very well balanced on both sides of the ball. Who doesn't like a coach named Jack DelRio (Jack the River) Cool
Chargers have been quiet in the off season but I like their two top draftees Antoine Cason to help coverage against Brady and Manning and the beast from LSU Jacob Hester to replace Michael Turner. With Chris Chambers having a full training camp under Norv Turner the receiving corps should be better as well. Ladainina Tomlinson still has fuel in the tank. The front 7 on defense will still be a force.
Steelers...One of my favorite second tier of teams to like...If they can protect big Ben they could be back in the thick of it...?
Browns are up and coming. They could be the surprise team like the Saints a couple years ago
NFC...I'll pick the Cowboys, Seahawks, Buccaneers, Giants (phew) Redskins with Jim Zorn as their coach could surprise?

No offense but that is funny. I'd love to hear your explanation in detail how they won't be competitive this year???? Looking at thier schedule, they have pretty much won 11 games right off the bat, the other five they will have to work for ( INdy, SD, Pitt, Denver-yeah Denver , and Seattle). Quite frankly they should take care of Pitt, Denver and Seattle --if they can go 14-2 ( which is probably a good bet) they would have first round bye and probably home field throughout. Pats under BB have never lost a home playoff game. Not only will the Pats be competitive, it is going to take a great effort to beat them -- GIANT like effort.... pardon the pun. If the Pats make the SB again, they won't take thier opponent lightly, which is exactly what I think happen this past SB.
