People seem to forget that when the Jazz traded for Derek Fisher, there was speculation that he would not show up and demand a trade. The perception was that he never wanted to play in Utah in the first place. Then after asking out of his contract, he goes back to where he wanted to be anyway.
Whatever the truth is, only Fisher knows, and I don't really care. I think people make waaayyyy too much out of booing. Nobody is wishing his family any ill will. Fans boo because he left them for a rival. Big deal.
Unless names do, in fact, hurt you this is a non issue.
