Check out this story:

Bears-cedric-benson,0,1735360.story?track=rss">http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi080508-chicago-bears-cedric-benson,0,1735360.story?track=rss

This guy just happened to be watching this from another boat and, from what I assume, heard Benson get maced after he was already down.

Now here's the real question. Does anyone really care if he's telling the truth, or do you just want CedBen out of Chicago?

I personally think he deserves another shot behind a rebuilt line. Besides the NFL has shown that you need two three-down-backs to win. Plus with the cap hit the Bears would take wouldn't help us sign Tommie Harris, Devin Hester, Robbie Gould, or Brian Urlacher.

Thoughts?

Wait, "deserves" isn't really the word I wanted to use here. I guess I mean more like, the Bears should let him play to see if he's just better while splitting carries.
