Kyle Busch wins races the exact same way #3 used to, and the Earnhardt faithful boo him for it. A decade ago, when they were just calling that "one of those racin' deals." #3 pinballed guys for over 20 years. When Junior gets the same treatment that DW, Terry Labonte, Bill Elliott and Rusty Wallace used to recieve, they whine and cry about sportsmanship. I hate it for Junior (because I like Little E), but for the old #3 fans..."I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!!! I DRINK IT UP!!!"

Key west, first of all I find it comical that you mention Kyle busch and Dale senior in the same breath. Kyle busch will never be a dale earnhardt senior. Dale senior use to wreck cars that were slower than him that wouldn't get out of his way. Kyle busch wrecks cars that are faster than him that he can't beat. Look at the tape again, Kyle busch doesn't even turn his wheels, he drives straight into the side of junior. In 25 years of following this sport I don't think I ever saw dale sr. wreck someone like that. He always moved cars out of his way from behind that were slower. Kyle busch knows what he did and we all know what he did, there's really no sense in even arguing about it. The guy has no class and that showed in his comments following the incident. But more importantly, that is not how dale sr. used to drive. He wrecked his share of cars but he also got wrecked as well, but he did not race like that.

First I see the similarities in Kyle vs Dale Sr and DW, all three had, have the win at all cost attitude period. redskin, as for never seeing Dale Senior take out drivers other than the slower ones, well I guess you could say they were slower after he took them out but I saw him on numerous occassions take drivers out on the track for no reason other than the fact they were beating him. That was one of the reasons I wasn't a fan of His or DW's, in DW's early years. They both did the same thing.
Now back to the subject, What I find Ironic is that for the past 3 years all we have heard is that NASCAR has become too vinallia. That there are no more outspoken individuals, no one, other than Tony, willing to speak their mind. No one that has the fire, passion and desire like they did when Senior and DW were tearing up NASCAR in the 80's. Like Pearson, Petty and the Alabama Gang in the 70's and 80's. No, NASCAR has taken that fire out of their drivers. So what happens when you get a driver with that fire, that I'm going to win this race or I'm going to wreck this car type of individual. Well the fans start hollaring that he is over aggressive and he should be set down and that driver needs to learn how to drive, on and on and on. Fans want this type of driver as long as who they take out isn't their driver, as long as the individual doesn't get into the face of their favorite after the race, as long as this driver fits their mold, as long as this driver.....well you get the picture.
NASCAR Fans need to make up their minds, do they want drivers with passion, the win at all cost type; the driver that may make the mistake and take out the leader, or the driver that is willing to move that driver out of his way to get that win or position at the end of the race. Or do they want the driver that does those things as long as its not their driver or one of their other favorites.
Personnelly, I want the driver with the passion, the win at all cost back into the sport because it sure make things a whole lot interesting and fun to watch.

Props on liking the Redskins, first. Its amazing though the way the rose-colored glasses fit on Earnhardt fans when you talk about their hero. #3 never did anything wrong. He was only getting slower drivers out of the way. Right, and the Dallas Cowboys aren't America's Most Wanted either. #3 turned Terry Labonte around more times than I care to remember, once as he was about to cross the start finish line at Bristol. Fortunately for Terry he did cross it and took the mangled mess to victory lane. #3 didn't waste his time knocking slower cars out of the race. He had good cars those days that competed for the lead, but there was no sense in some of his rear-quarter panel slamming back in the day. Winning was all he cared about. He banked on the "What Comes Around, Goes Around" as his ace in the hole. The Intimidator was named because you always knew he would make sure he got the final say in the matter, and usually that means you ended up in the garage.

I went back to the race the week before when montoya did the same thing to busch only at 200 mph, difference being busch can handle a race car laid off the gas, straightened it out and kept racing. I think he finished pretty good in that race.
And for the only wrecking slower cars thing I think Terry labonte got wrecked at bristol right after he flew past the dead guy like he was standing still.

I am a JR fan and I was not happy at the end of the race, but it was exciting. If you are a NASCAR fan you can't tell me that after Hamlin started to slow due to a flat tire, you didn't slide to the edge of your couch while opening another beer and say to yourself "this is about to get good". I was pulling for JR, but win the caution came out all I could think of was "what is Kyle going to do to get this win". The last three laps of that race had more excitment in it than the rest of the season thus far. Due to the publicity this incident has gotten you have to believe that this Saturday nights race will have higher ratings than last weeks. JR should have won that race and didn't, not because of Kyle, because of Denny. When he stopped on the track to purposely bring out the caution it negated more than a 1 second lead JR had over his teammate.
The main point here was that it was fun again to watch a race and I can only hope that the rest of the season is as exciting.
