Brian, Pete, what about Junior diving down towards the bottom of turn 3 and not keeping his previous line that he was running?  Could it be that if Junior had stayed up top the wreck would never had happen?  When I reviewed the tape what I saw was Junior was trying to dive to the bottom and cut Kyle off like his Daddy use to do.  The only problem was that Kyle wasn't intiminated by Junior and held his line.  Junior intiatied the contact and that is when both cars got a little loose and like Kenny Schrader always says, 8 wheels are better than 4.

No to me this was a pure racing incident nothing more nothing less, two competitors going for the win and only one came out of the melay.

Good post! I agree that it was just a racing incident. They were both going for the win and neither one was giving at all. That's just racing!

I can agree this was a racing incident....... but let's not forget that Kyle spends most of his time on the track bashing into everything but the hot dog stand.

This incident is escalated because of Kyle's track record and careless driving techniques. If he was the one that hit the wall he would have been screaming and kicking and throwing punches in the pits after the race, at least give Dale credit for acting like a professional.

It's only a matter of time before this kid learns his lesson the HARD way from a veteran driver tired of his BS, 200 mph is no place for stupidity and Kyle is proven to be full of that.

I agree 100% with your post mikeyfan. It was good hard racing and thats the way it should be. Junior couldve given Busch more room but Busch really needs to grow up. I wish that Gibbs would sit Busch down and have a good talkin to. Btw The Wallace boy shouldve kicked his punk ass.

Mikey your exactly right on this one.  Jr. himself even admitted that he went further towards the bottom in turn 3 to keep Kyle pinned down.  But of course the "Nation" probably didn't hear that quote, so they just want to continue bashing Kyle.  Either way Kyle still leads the points and he may not win the cup this year, still way to early to call, but I'd bet he wins a cup long before Jr.  So to the "Nation" you can just keep on hating and blaming every other driver for Jr's mishaps, because it is obvious that even the CBS writers think that Jr. can do no wrong.

GO JGR!

kyle busch is a punk they should have Jimmy Spencer punch him in the face like he did his brother kurt. Maybe then he will grow-up and race smart. Something he doesnt do on a consistant basis. That being said it was Hamlin that caused this mess not Kyle. Kyle just acted his immature, non professional self. Something you hope will change with time. If not he will be the one watching his back.

Yes it was just good ol' hard racing and Junior handled it like a man. Yes both of them could have given a little. But after last week and now this week, Kyle better watch his back. He bumped both Gordon and Johnson out of the way at Dega and now he wrecks Junior with two laps to go and him in the lead. And no one is talking about the cheap shot last week at Dega where he blocked Gordon by going up the track and nearly causing a huge wreck on his way to the victory. All i have to say is he better watch out because his attitude towards the Hendrick team will end up with him being put into the wall.......HARD!

I think Kyle is one of the best things to happen to NASCAR this year and he is a lot of fun to watch race, but on this one I think he was in the wrong.  He clear drove too hard into turn 3, and as a result got loose and wrecked Jr.  It wasn't smart racing, it was immature and careless.  This wasn't the last lap of the race, and Kyle didn't need to make, what looked like, a very desparate move to try and take the lead.  I truly think he will learn from the wreck though, because at the end he still got 2nd, which is the worst that would have happened if he and Jr didn't make contact and coninuted to the finish.

mhh02a

Driving too hard is not maintaining control of your car.  If Jr had not been on the outside to catch him, he would have spun out.  That's driving too hard.

And by the way...

Jr is not his father, doesn't want to be.  All of you that are trying to compare him to Big E, stop.  There was not a bigger fan of Dale Earnhardt than me.  Jr has spoken many times of "wanting to be his own man".  He is doing it his way.  Quit trying to make him into his father people!
