I checked on the "expert" picks again today (looked at them yesterday).

Yesterday Aaron Weisberg was the only "expert" the predicted the Hornets would win.  Now after game 2, all of the experts except for 1 have switched their picks to the Hornets.  No wonder their "expert" scores are doing so well.

Actually, it's not BS. It's part of the process. You see look, the Hornets are young and inexperienced, while the Spurs are defending champions and very very experienced. In real life, the Spurs are suppose to win. The Hornets and their fans have to understand that when you are a new top team on the map, you won't get as much respect as the top regular teams because you havn't proved anything yet. BUT BUT trust me, next year, the Hornets will get much much more respect and more people will pick you to win because they will now know what your team is capable of doing.

USC I think we all get what you are saying about the respect side of  it. But we have a issue with the experts changing there picks after the games have been played. All we are saying is if you picked a team to win then stick with them and live or die with you pick. The experts in my opinion are a joke.

I agree with ya to  a point USC... but when you have a PG that doesn't let experience bother him.  And you have a solid starting core and pretty good depth and a good defense as well as an explosive offense when need be people should say "hmmmm maybe they can do it" but ite because they are from New Orleans not LA or Boston or Detroit or San Antontio... I mean if the Spurs didn't win those 4 championships and just got the playoffs and were bounced the Hornets would be predicted to win on the process of just because of being a higher seed ha ha... smaller market teams don't get the rep like the larger ones.  I mean even NY will get more rep then New Orleans.  (As bad as it is) the Hornets have started to sell out at the end of the year and in the playoffs.  Thats when people just started to take notice crazy if you ask me...

Msanch79...don't worry about it. There are just some teams that will never receive the respect they probably deserve. The Spurs have been one of the most dominate teams over the past 10 years, and they still don't get the respect from the nation media that they deserve. Most of us here is San Antonio have gotten use to it, but it wasn't easy.  We wanted to be on the map, but now we don't care...we just want the Spurs to win.  Unless you're in a large market, no one on the national level is gonna pay attention.  Even if you win it all, they will give you your 15 minutes of fame, then forget about you like the one-night-stand that you threw into the taxi eariler that morning.  But again, don't worry about it.  It's not about the limelight, it's about winning championships! No matter what they say, or don't say, they can never take those away.

I don't know why anyone is surprised by this.  These same 'experts' did the exact same thing last round against the Mavs.  6 out of the 7 (or 5 of 6 whatever it is) picked the Mavs and after game 1 all but 1 expert switched to the Hornets.

Its pathetic why even have them pick a winner of the series if they can change it game to game.
