NFL'S winningest teams 1988-2007

Great work on the post but here in lies the problem.   What do we fans expect from a regime?   If your answer is two decades of sold out games, a competetive team save for just a few speed bumps along the way and a handful of contract drama then King Carl has been everything and a bag of chips for this city. 

However it is that mentality that has made it possible for a GM to remain employed for 20 years without delivering a single trip to the championship game.   We deserve and should expect better.   The parody of the NFL lends itself more than any other sport for any team with decent ownership and fan base to win a championship and that should be the goal of this team.

Now I  know some people will say that at least we have experienced "winning" football and that is true as evident of this thread but I ask you... how many of those winning seasons since '88 would you trade for one Superbowl win?   I don't know what the answer  is but I do know for me personally celebrating a superbowl victory would overshadow several losing seasons. 

I must have missed the joke because I don't see what's so funny about Steve's post.

Good research there. It's nice we're in the top ten and all, but it'd be much nicer if those winning seasons came with a SB win or two.

we might be #1 overall on this tally in 4 or 5 years. the teams in front of us (except for GB) are weak right now.

for the record, i am a real Chiefs fan. (like most people on this board)

I'm on the same page as ShoeShineBoy.....I would gladly trade a lot of those wins for one or two runs at the Super Bowl.

I just did some quick math but I'm 99.9% sure on this......of all of the teams BELOW KC on that list, 14 of them have made a Super Bowl appearance since 1988. KC obviously has not. On top of that, ever team above KC on that list has been to the Super Bowl,
Philly is the only team above KC that has not won a Super Bowl since '88. Since 1994...21 of those teams below KC on the list have at least ONE playoff victory, including Arizona....and KC obviously has not won a playoff game since 1993......Kind of depressing when you think about it.

I hate to point it out but the Chiefs were in the AFC Championship Game in 1993 when they lost to the Bills in the last part of the game.

But this is a great thread, GOO GOO just needs to go back to New England and cry that his pats lost to the NY Giants in the super bowl after going 18-0.
