Brennan is not an NFL QB by any stretch of the imagination.  Being a Texas fan i have watched Texas tech produce QBs with crazy numbers in a spread offense, and this is in the big 12 not the WAC, or against the worst team in the PAC-10 last year.  Hodges, Simmons, and Kingsbury all produced big numbers against better talent and they never cut it at the next level.  Scouts know this now after watching spread offense backs struggle at the next level, bc the defense is bigger and faster and the gimmick plays that kill college defenses turn into picks and fumbles with pressure.  This became evident in the Georgia game where without time and against quick dbs he was 22/38 with no tds and 3 picks and was sacked for a net of -38 yards rushing.  Small spread offense QBs dont cut it, thank god your team didnt pick a guy that would barely make the taxi squad.

So you're going to base it on one game? Anyone can have one bad game.... Also, you forgot to mention Hawaii's O'line looked like a fishing net trying to stop water against Ga. There wasn't much any QB could've done in that game. Colt Brennan tore up good defenses, the game against Georgia was terrible but that's just one game. You named a few QB's that threw up good stats in college spread offenses that didnt make it in the NFL but did you ever think about how much the odds are against any QB period?? We've all seen top notch big strong power conference QB's that didn't make it in the NFL. The fact is, odds are against most QB's making it in the NFL and just because they play in a spread offense doesnt mean they can't make it. Granted, yes his numbers

are inflated due to the run and shoot offense but did you really watch him play? I mean really watch full games?? He is not a dink and dunk passer, he's actually rifling passes downfield and for any QB in any system to complete that high of a percentage is amazing you have to admit. Keep in mind, yes the spread offense QB's have higher stats and I haven't actually researched this but I'm willing to bet none of them comes even close to Colt Brennan's completion percentage. The bottom line he can get the ball to his target accurately and consistently, I feel in the right NFL system, he definitely can be a good NFL QB but only time will tell and yes the odds are against him but we have hope!

I think that Colt Brennan is a good QB.  However I do not think that he would be that good in the Bears program because he is not very big at 6'3" and 205 lbs he would have trouble seeing over many OL's in the NFL.  Being under center and being back in shot-gun is a different story.  If the Bears should have drafted a QB still which I think they did the right move in not taking a QB.  They should have drafted Erik Ainge from Tenn. at 6'6" 225 lbs and haveing a very strong  arm, that or the QB from Deleware Joe Flacco @ 6'7" 236 lbs and a rocket for an arm whould have been best.  Because they can look over the OL and see what is happening in front of the coverage with short passing game like the bears love to run, and than open it up down the field.  The draft was loaded with not only very good RB's this year but QB as well.

Perfectly worded,

Hiis senior years O line wasn't as experienced as his Junior year, thus they weren't as quick.  Making Colt even more un-believable.  If you haven't watched Colt as we did, you missed out on some awesome highlights.  Many of his passes weren't just there, it went over the DBs heads and right into the WRs arms while he's on the run.

June Jones (coach) said of Colt that he's the best he's ever seen and June should know, he's coached and played in the NFL.

Once he's beefed up his core and works on releasing his ball higher and finds a decent to good O line.  And now with Washington going to the West Coast Offence.

Colt maybe another Tom Brady.
