beasley is clearly the better talent in my eyes. however, rose is definitely the desperate need. i wanted to give banks a fair because he was playing some good defense and shooting a very high percentage both from the field and from the behind the arc (but he got injured!), but rose can come in and take some of the ballhandling and playmaking duties off of dwayne's back (he leads the league in turnovers), and also, with his size and quickness, play some quality defense on the opposing team's 1 or 2 guard. how can you argue with that??

how can you argue with that?? You can't argue with that at all. Beasley MIGHT be the best player in this draft, but Rose fills more of an immediate need.

As long as we pick at least 2nd I'm sure Rose will still be available, because everyone is so busy drooling over Beasly he'll almost certainly go first over all.

I like Rose but the only thing that bothers me is he is not a very good shooter. Not a dominant scorer he did not once have a game with more than 30 points while Beasley had 13 30 point game he is a dominant scorer

YOU SEE THAT AS A NEGATIVE ...BUT THAT IS ACTUALLY A POSITIVE, THIS KID ROSE DOMINATED THE NCAA TOURNAMENT IN WAYS THAT DO NOT SHOW UP ON THE SCOREBOARD FROM THE PG POSITION WHICH IS WHAT WE NEED FOR THE MIAMI Heat! HE SHUT DOWN SOME OF THE BEST GUARDS IN THE TOURNAMENT, HE PUSHED THE TEMPO FOR MEMPHIS AND HAD TONS OF ASSISTS, HE DROVE TO THE BASKET AT WILL, HE GOT REBOUNDS, SCORED 20+ POINTS EACH GAME AND THE MOST IMPORTANT STAT HE WAS THE INSTRUMENTAL LEADER OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM IN THE TOURNAMENT UNTIL THE LAST 2 MINUTES WHERE THEY HANDED THE GAME TO KANSAS. HIS ONLY MISTAKE HE MISSED A FREE THROW IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. I'LL GIVE HIM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT ON THAT ONE AND TAKE EVERYTHING ELSE HE BRINGS IN A SECOND. BEASLEY A GREAT TALENT MAKE NO MISTAKE BUT UNLESS HE HAS A ROSE PLAYING NEXT TO HIM HE WONT BE AT ANY NBA FINALS AS A PLAYER. JUST ASK KARL MALONE ABOUT JOHN STOCKTON OR ASK JAMES WORTHY ABOUT Magic JOHNSON.
ONE GUY THAT COMES TO MIND THATS SIMILAR TO BEASLEY WHO NEVER MADE IT TO THE FINALS BECAUSE HE NEVER HAD A PG LIKE THAT WAS DOMINIQUE WILKINS AND WE KNOW THAT "NIQUE" WAS ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS. BOTTOM LINE IS WHO CAN LEAD YOUR TEAM TO THE NBA FINALS NOT WHO CAN MAKE THE MOST NBA ALL-STAR APPEARANCES.

I actually saw Rose make some pretty amazing shots, but more importantly, he can consistently find the open man for the big play. His free throw shooting needs some improvement though. If he hadn't missed a few of those free throws, we'd be talking about Memphis as national champs.
