OK ladies and Gentlemen. It is time for second round predictions. The Lakers are a tough draw, well rested, and employ the league MVP.
I am going homer on this one and picking the Jazz in six. I think we came up with a good formula to slow down a dominant shooting guard. We will keep Colby at least in check.
What do you all think?

Get real muncher. If the Jazz win the series it's in 7. No way it's in 6, you struggled with the Mcgradys again. If you beat us then you deserve your first Ring, we have enough to go around. But if you can't handle a depleted Rocket's team, what's you reasoning on on 6 ?

My reasoning behind winning in six is the Jazz have a way better point guard and a formula for slowing down the MVP.
I also think we take one of two to start in LA, and we defend the Delta..er..ESA. That makes six.
If D-Will goes double digits on assists for the next six games, we will be worrying about Chris Paul instead of the Eagle Colorado mascot.

I don't know about you guys, but I like the way that both of the Lakers/Jazz first round series ended. The Lakers swept the Nuggets, so they are going to be feeling extrememly confident. Hopefully to the point of overconfident. The Jazz on the other hand won 2 games on the road and hopefully clear up their insecurities there. They also found out that they CAN lose at home, where most of us felt like they were invincible.
So if it all works out the way I'm hoping, then the Jazz will come out feeling confident in LA and steal a game away from the 'overconfident' Lakers. And then come back to the ESA and realize that they have to do more than just show up.
This is definately going to be a more difficult series than Houston. It should be a good one.

Will the Lakers come out rusted or rested? I guess the answer is rested. Rough first half to say the least. Down by 13, but it could have been a lot more. Hope they can get their act together and stop throwing the ball away in the second half.

Ah well, it's over. I don't really feel too bad about this loss. Jazz shot horrible from the field, which is rare for the best shooting team in the league. We completely outplayed LA in the second half. If we had taken care of the ball and not dug ourselves a 19-point deficit, we would have won.

the Jazz have a formula for slowing down the MVP.Yeah? ...and what formula would that be? Enfamil...baby formula? Grecian Formula 16? Formula One? Formula for Disaster? Exactly what formula could you possibly be talking about?

Why don't you go take your posts somewhere else. Instead criticising what we say. yes I will admit, we lost the first two, but who is to say that we can't come back and win it?

I agree . . . it is funny how much time Laker fans spend on the Jazz boards . . . you would think they would be on the Laker boards hangin out with the Laker fans . . . . wonder how many Jazz fans are on the Laker boards? I really have no clue because I have never been on to find out!
Oh well. Just tired of hearing how crappy the Jazz are as compared to the Lakers. Gees, it is the number one seed playing the number four seed. Shoot, the Laker are supposed to win right?! I still believe the Jazz have a chance, especially if they can hold serve at home and turn it into a three game series, but who knows. Just play hard and play one at a time.
Just would like to see fouls called when D-Will drives the lane like Kobe gets when he drives the lane. Call the foul, a foul is a foul regardless of who is holding the ball! Call them all!!

It is back to a series. The Jazz played well enough to win at home like they have all season. The Jazz can win a best of three. Kobe Bryant has a sore back too. I almost wish that hadn't happened because the Laker fans will use that for an excuse if the Jazz can take one in LA.
If Carlos Boozer can play on the road like he has at home, the Jazz can win tonight. I am looking forward to the game.

No worry there, Grass Muncher - no excuses needed.
The Lakers are fully cocked and ready to close-out in Game 6.

Could happen Jefe but I think this one is going to seven. Jazz will get the calls at home that they don't get on the road. Lakers have played some good ball though. All the games have been entertaining.

I feel that we will take it if we win one of the first two in LA. I feel that we are having everyone step up and scoring is coming from more than D-Will and Booz. On the other hand i think it will be hard to come back 2-0 against that tuff Laker team.

I agree with you bronco kid, if the Jazz get one of the first two, they will have a great chance at finishing the series in 6. It's not a given, by any means. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named seems very driven this year. He's on a mission, and he is getting a lot of help from his team. The Addition of gasol has greatly helped him. This is going to be a great series to watch. Let's hope the Utah fans don't give fisher any extra incentives to beat us...
