	he may not be the sexy pick for the starting allstar spot(VTEK, Pudge, and Posada)but I bet if you ask all the AL teams and pure baseball fans who the best is, it has to be Vic! I cant forget Mauer, he is up there with the other top catchers!

	Victor Martinez, Joe Mauer, Russell Martin, I'm not sure which order but those are the 3 best today. I'd take Martinez because he can hit both righty and lefty. Geovanny Soto for the Cubs will be in that conversation within 2 or 3 years.

	Victor has been the saving grace of this offense. If he keeps up this pace, he could and should be considered for AL MVP.

	I like Martin because even though he might not hit for as much power (hes still young, could possibly overtake vics power, he has potential), he will get you a dozen or so stolen bases which puts him in better position to score. All 3 are good.

Geovanny Soto for the Cubs will be in that conversation within 2 or 3 years. I agree. I'd put Martinez at the top. I'd also include Brian McCann in the discussion at least as far as hitting. Also, that kid from Houston (J.R. Towles) is gonna be up there with Soto. He's struggling right now but he's only 24.
