I will say this about this thread: There are definitely some intelligent people on these boards and some responses have been absolutely stimulating. Let me clarify a few things. First, the President doesn't have nearly as much power as we think. The top 5% of rich people who were referred to earlier actually run the world and they are not all Americans. We have a long way to go to understand what pure politics and propaganda are. Some of you should listen to yourselves. You speak with anger one moment like you are ready to hurt someone for their opinion and result to childish name calling and insults; then on the other hand, reveal cowardness in talking about terrorist. I am sorry but I am not afraid of a paper terrorist. I have lived for a very long time and I am more afraid of our governent and it's current condition than any foreign terrorist. We live in the 21st Century and just listen to the ignornace that is spewed on some sites. Listen to the radio announcers and all. This country is as divided as night and day, yet we pretend on paper like every evil comes from abroad.
Think about it this way- Under Clinton this country was thriving. Regardless of what you think about the scandal he lead this country like no other President in a very long time. As soon as Bush takes office, look what happens, 9-11. Not even a year into his term, we have major issue. Verdict is still out on who to blame and it is amazing that Bin Laden is still alive who was "supposedly" responsible but Hussein, who had no links is dead. However, Iraq is the country we had interest in under the elder Bush. If you guys understood have many innocent people died under shock and awe it would make you all insurrectionist without question. I know a lot about our military strategies and when we drop 2000 bombs in two minutes to "light the sky" there is a massacre insuing. Imagine that during Desert Shield/Storm, most of our deaths came via friendly fire. That means we hit our own targets with misinformation. Now imagine how many people died under 2000 bombs. I was more shocked with the words the President used. In my mind I was thinking Presidents do not talk like that. Civilians, babies, women, fathers, brothers, grandparents and sisters. If you could see the bodies, it would literally make you sick to your stomach. I bet if we could use a satellite dish to show radar of bones in the ground you would simply be numb. To kill the sensationalism of how many we lost, our government quickly shut down pics of caskets draped with the American flags coming back to America from being published everywhere. Talk about propoganda. Do you think America wants the world to think we are mercernaries? It doesn't matter how you try to defend it, we have killed thousands and lost thousands in a war without cause, without justification and on the premise of misinformation. That is a sad reality but it is true. It is almost like we are discovering Iraq like we discovered the new world. Killed all the indians or enslaved them and removed them from the history books. We have killed all the leaders of Iraq and removed them from the history books. Every statue of Hussein has been destroyed, ala, how the noses of the statues in Africa(Eygpt) have been multilated.
What this country needs is a serious Change in direction, in philosophy and in the welfare of its citizens. No more exploitation of innocent civilians for economic gain. No more degradation of those without healthcare. More concern for those losing homes, jobs, businesses and sanity. Our school system is a shame as many need valuable resources. We spend tillions on lost cause wars while pinching pennies to tomorrows leaders(our children). Our educational budget is like a joke compared to our defense budget. Our children are a real entity who needs the funds but our terrorist appear to be built up on propaganda and hearsay. The only thing to fear in life is fear itself. Look at the condition of this country and other countries around the world we have destroyed on the basis of fear.
Obama has already shown courage by running for office in a racist country. Whether you agree to it or not, America is a racist country and if you are not rich you are less than the best. It not even about being European American(white) or African American(black), it is about the haves and have nots. An hour-glass affect with the bottom widening as we speak. Remember 68% of the poor in America are European American so do not be fooled in voting for color that is the biggest deception in America today, that if you are white , you are rich and all minorities are poor. As a country we are so ignorant and I mean that. I am not a racist, I am not pro anything except being a Christian and I am a republican but there is a sad reality in this country. We are lost, confused and discombobulated. I will not vote for McCain becuase he doesn't represent the true values this country needs.
If you do not vote for Obama, remember you were warned ahead of time. Many wanted Bush in office, now look at the results. I mean really look at the results. Let go of ignorance and allow some intelligence lead you to the best candidate possible. Hillary has shown her true colors and McCain will lead us into worse territiry than Bush. The election is upon us and many can cast an early vote. Let's do the right thing so we can embrace what this great country is truly about. Land of the free and home of the Brave. Last time I checked Brave is not afraid of terrorist. Brave is not ignorance to act without cause. When it is time Brave acts with purpose, courage and valor in the best interest of all invloved.
Good day folks.
