Payton, I am so glad that you have found out who started this thread, but again your vague, pointless banter shows me nowhere where I get offensive. I don't have anything to defend like you guys apparently do. That's why you lash out at me and drag on my team so we can get the attention of the original post. I asked nobody to respond, but you guys did in such a defensive manner.  How? Well, nobody gave me any reasons why it was a good move by Dallas. Instead, you guys go off and complain about my wording and get all picky and whiny. I don't believe I have complained yet.. Saying that it was a dumb move isn't complaining. It's being real with your opinion. Apparently you don't know what an opinion is because you apparently take it as fact.

Oh, I'm not laughing?? Miss Cleo, ladies and gentlemen. haha... Come on, up your argument from a 5th grade level and maybe I'd take you seriously.

Ezluv1, Dallas does have 5 rings... Where have you been? Again, it's like fighting with an alzheimer patient... Easy to forget what I just wrote last night.. It's right there to read, but no, you Cowboy fans continue to prove me right about your level of intellegence and understanding. Mike Vick is not beloved. He's a crook like Jones, except Vick ended up where he belongs.. Good riddance to him.

You see, not all teams prefer money over class like Dallas. But again, you wouldn't know that because you're simple minded.

If you had simply stated that you thought it was a bad move and why, you would not have gotten so much flack.  Instead, you decided to be a homer and talk trash about the team.  That's why people don't like you here.

Back to the topic... Have you actually read about his contract?  If Pacman doesn't keep his act together, Dallas gets to can him and get their pick back.  Pacman will get no guaranteed money.  Sounds like a win win to me. If Pacman screws up, he's done in the league, and the Cowboys lose nothing.  You'd be an idiot not to make that deal.

He's a crook like Jones

? Why is Jerry Jones a crook?  I don't understand why people dis JJ all the time.  He's not stupid. The man is worth an incredible amount of money, and you don't make that money being a moron.

You see, not all teams prefer money over class like Dallas.

Oh please. You say this after calling Cowboys fans dellusional?  Every team is in it for one reason: To win.

But again, you wouldn't know that because you're simple minded

It's easy to talk tough from your mother's basement isn't it, big guy?

#1. Homers talk up their own team.. I never initially talked about Atlanta, so you are just talking straight out the other end. I am talking about a teams troubling trend of signing controversial players (hmmm, I think I have said that before... More than once).

#2. What does the contract lingo have to do with it?? As an owner, you are only as representable as the players who represent your team. Positive light is not being shown on the Cowboys with this move. Usually you try and get away from as much trouble as possible.

#3. Jones... As in Pacman Jones. Not Jerry Jones.

#4. Every team has standards too. It's not just about winning.. That's why you saw nobody chase Pacman. He's nothing but a handful of trouble. And he may not even get reinstated. I want the Falcons to win, but I'd never want Pacman or Michael Vick back to try and do it. You need to uphold some kind of morality in the locker room.

Here we go, more personal jabs. Should I be surprised? My mother doesn't have a basement in her house (assumptions, assumptions). And again, you know you struck a chord when they lower themselves to personal jabs against you  (have I done that?? Nope.. I talk to you like a fan, not a person. And as a fan, you are ignorant and still lack the knowledge).

Anyone can talk tough online, but that's not what I am about... When I talk sports, I don't stroke egos. I tell you what I think whether you agree or don't. It has nothing to do with tough talk from your mother's basement.

I didn't realize webster had a definition for homer. I'm glad you are here to enlighten us all.

Please oh please forgive me for my ignorance, as i thought we were talking about the whole Pacman deal here.  Isn't that what we're talking about? SO, the contract has everything to do it.  This contract is a binding document that forces Pacman to walk a straight line, or get the boot.  It seems to me that Pacman could use something like that. It also protects the Cowboys from him being an idiot.

#3. Jones... As in Pacman Jones. Not Jerry Jones.

That makes much more sense.

#4. Every team has standards too. It's not just about winning.. That's why you saw nobody chase Pacman. He's nothing but a handful of trouble. And he may not even get reinstated. You don't know how many teams were considering Pacman.  The Cowboys just happened to be the only team publicly persuing him.  There could have (and probably were) several more teams considering making a move.

Here we go, more personal jabs. Should I be surprised? My mother doesn't have a basement in her house (assumptions, assumptions). And again, you know you struck a chord when they lower themselves to personal jabs against you  (have I done that?? Nope.. I talk to you like a fan, not a person. Um... I'm pretty sure you were the first do deal a jab at paytonb when you called him simple minded.  I simply threw one back your way because i find your self rightiousness and holier than thou attitude irritating, and you dissed my friend paytonb.  So if anyone is keeping track, it was you who threw the first punch. So you shouldn't be upset to receive one in return.

If anyone here is ignorant it is youself, because you obviously don't understand the NFL.  It is as much a BUSINESS as it is a sport  Pacman will put people in the seats and sell jerseys, so he is getting another chance. Simple as that.  I don't like him.  I think he is a complete idiot, and i think there is a good chance that he will get suspended again.  That said, i don't care as long as the Cowboys protect themselves via contract structure (this is where the contract lingo comes in). Maybe all of this will help him straighten his life out in the end. Who knows?

Now I'm going to be out for a while, but, by all means, continue to pretend that you're smarter than everyone here and have a grande understanding of football that exceeds that of Jerry Jones.  It's good for a giggle.

The only thing keeping most teams from making a move was the fact that there is no guarantee he will get re-instated and not every team was in a position to take that chance. When those teams backed away, of course they said "we never had interest" to 1. save face and look good when people think they refused because of his 'troubled past' and 2. because owners stick together and they knew if they claimed interest it would only raise Pac's ante.

Hey Mike, you say I threw the first jab?... haha, you see, now everyone can understand why I always try to avoid conversations with Cowboy fans. They are blind to reason and fact.

Payton's 1st post to me consisted of these comments:

" . The truth is you came out with a typical haters attitude mouthing off ignorant statements that made you look foolish. "

" If you want to be a hater that's fine.. but you really shouldn't be so sensitive and get upset when those you hate on fire back . Maybe you just still have a sour taste in your mouth about Vick and feel the need to lash out at others because of it.. grab a tissue and get over it.. everyone else is :) Maybe it's you who needs to learn how to handle criticism ;) "

2 mentions of me being a hater, and always taking the ever so popular Michael Vick jab.... Gee, you weren't going to agree with the Falcon fan and side with the other Dallas fan? What a shocker!  Bias sure does make you look like a unknowledgable person. You already had your mind made up on who you were going to side with as soon as you saw who the fans were.. So please stop trying to play reasonable with me.

Oh, Pacman Jones is getting another chance because it's a business.. O.k, if that's the case, what's your take on Michael Vick? I know everybody hates him (I'm surely no fan of his either), but how would it be for the business if they let him back in? And why would you need to fill seats when the stadium is full every Sunday anyways? Wasn't that why they got T.O.? Business or not, I wouldn't even get near a guy who turned my team into a joke by mocking them on the field when with another team.

There were other teams that talked about him, but that's all it was. Just talk. They had to weigh his playing ability with his baggage off the field, and saw that he wasn't worth going for. Once YOU offered them the contract, everyone in the NFL thought you were crazy. The man can say that he will be better, but his crowd will catch up with him again. Every city has clubs, but Dallas is a little more high profile. The bait is dangling in his face. And if he breaks the contract, they do look like idiots because everyone's going to be pointing at his criminal past and wonder what you were doing even talking to him.  It would be embarrasing to the team to say the least.

I never said I was smarter... My thread was to give an opinion.. And when you guys whined, I took the liberty of having some fun with it.

If you don't believe he has changed, tell me that. If you don't believe Tank was a bad move, tell me that.... I think it would be a clearer message than turning it on me and telling me how bad my team is and branding me an immedaite hater..ONE
