 Buck, I do understand the logistics behind the contract. I never said it was stupid, except I did say it was controversial. I really don't think they should have done anything until it was certain that a reinstatement was in order.

 The fact that he's been arrested more times than he's made interceptions since 2005 (10 arrests, 4 INT) kind of bothers me a bit there. Ten times in 2 years!?!? Once for the strip club incident where he allegedly grabbed a female dancer by the hair and slammed her head on the stage?? Another for spitting in a woman's face at another nightclub?  Being linked to 2 nighclub shootings? He should be getting the Michael Vick treatment, let alone applying for reinstatement. The Cowboys have a long history.. Do you want 1 man to taint that? It's why Tennessee was eager to let him go.

 If he ever changes, it won't be overnight.. He's got one of the most popular teams branded on him now. Do they really need the distraction? I would say no.

 Business wise, I still say that they could have pursued WR Roy Williams and gotten off better with that transaction. He's a stable guy to back up Owens in case Glenn's knee falters again.

 Pacman is in Michael Vick territory.. Since being drafted, he's been arrested 10 times.. When you look at it, he's been in cuffs more times than he's made interceptions (4). I never called it a stupid move because I know he's a great defender.. But I did call it controversial because his inability to keep out of trouble off the field...

 Slamming a female dancer's head on the stage in the "raining money" incident? Spitting in another female's face at another night club? Being linked to 2 club shootings? This man seems to be more trouble than the talent he's worth. I'm surprised he's still not serving time.

 Guys like these won't change overnight.. And now he's branded with one of the most popular teams in the NFL. I don't think it's worth putting your rep out there. Everyone is starting to think that the Oakland Raiders are Saints now compared to the signings. The past couple of years, majority of the controversial players are going to Dallas. Business wise, I don't see any flaws with the logistics in the contract. But again, it's also about reputation.

 I know I wouldn't want someone of this stature after the recent events that have occured.
