canadiens fan blames us for 9/11

I'm pretty open mind to criticising America  . . . I think the government (but not the military) has made a mess out of Iraq and I can see where people globally would be upset with the US.  But as far as American arrogance leading to 9/11 . . . . .I don't subscribe to that theory.  What led to 9/11 is religious fanaticism taken way too far.  You can disagree with a country's  philosophy without murdering  innocent civilians. 

This isn't the place to have this discussion . . . but if you want to take the Al Queda view of things . . that's your problem . . . however  you're the one who is sadly mistaken if you think people here will agree with you

LOL!  Holy crap did you guys ever misread that!  So let me clarify a few things.

1.  I have family in the USA, no problems with Americans, just idiots.

2.  It was RodneyHarrison1 who started this by saying things like "Canada sucks, GO AMERICA!!!"  and so on.

3.  I was just pointing out that it was idiots like him that insult other countries (like mine) that unfortunately paints all US citizens in a bad light.

4.  because of these few outspoken idiots, it can lead to extremeism on the part of other extreme idiots.

So, if there was any misunderstanding because of what I wrote, I apologize.  The sad thing is that I got sidetracked by one moron that decided to make this a Canada-US thing rather than a Habs-Bruin thing.

By the way guys, great series, you should be very proud of your team, especially Thomas.

Excellent post, Loyal Hab, and I agree with you.  Unfortunately, there are some extremist egos or personalities imbedded in certain fanatical fans, not too unlike extremist religious fanatics.  I, myself, am embarrassed by the subhuman behavior displayed by other Americans who were supposed Bruin fans.  Take, for example, the moronic animal that decided that enough was enough, and it was thus time to urinate from the upper deck on Hab fans to show Bruin/Boston superiority.    For some reason, sports fans from the Mass./New England era are starting to think that they are entitled.  It's getting a little stale, and these fans who perform such subhuman acts are unacceptable in society anywhere.  

How many Canadians are on the Bruins team?  How many Americans are on the Habs?  This stuff is stupid - most of us do respect and love Canada.

PS - Overzealous Boston fans need to remember that Philadelphia is the only "Grand Slam City" - in 1980-81 it  sent all of its four major professional sports teams to all of the finals championships.  The 76'ers went to the 1980 NBA championship, the Phillies won the 1980's World Seriers, the Eagles went to the1981 Superbowl, and the  Flyer's went to the Stanley Cup championship.  Now  I think that Philly is a city that deserved  bragging rights.
