Wait, wasn't lil'Johnny last seen here braggin' up how his mighty BobbedCats would smoke the Bucks in the NIT?  How'd that turn out for ya, lil'Johnny?

Let's do some math of our own, shall we?  Not only were the BobbedCats not good enough to get into the NCAAs, they also weren't good enough to even get into the NIT.  Instead they accepted a spot in the highly prestigious Corky's Barbecue Invitational, which they promptly lost a second round game in.  I believe that gives them the right to proudly hoist a banner that reads:

WE'RE # 105!

Way to go, BobbedCats!  At least that # 105 ranking is higher than the one Notre Dame's football team held most of the year...

Easy on the Fighting Irish.  This guy that posted was an idiot, that's clear.  Notre Dame had an awful year, but still has more national titles than anybody.  While Ohio State clearly is the better program CURRENTLY, that will not last forever and OSU still only has 1 national title in the last 35 years.

Great job Erk! But really, OU was just too good for the NIT, the proved that with their 2nd round ousting in the CBI.

I do agree that OSU is #66 though. They probably would've beaten at least half of the NCAA field, but they didn't get the chance to prove it. Therefore we should only be able to say 66 and not 35 or so.

I don't think they would have beaten "at least half", but I don't think there was a 13-16 seed better than Ohio State.  Anybody can beat anybody, but Ohio State had many  chances during the season to beat tournament teams, and didn't do too well, so I don't think anything would have been different in March.

The best thing about the Buckeyes going to the NIT is that the freshmen got valuable extra playing time. Believe me, I am not going to be cheering madly when they raise the NIT Champion banner at the Schott next season, but I'll give a golf clap. I think if this team were in the NCAA, they had a 25% chance of making it to the 2nd round, and a 1% chance of making it to the Sweet 16, and that would be it. So by taking the NIT bid, they at least got five more games and who knows how many more practices than they would have had sitting on their rumps back home. It'll hopefully make them better next year. They'll need it.

Oh, and I tried to read li'l Johnny's post, but halfway through my IQ had dropped to the point where self-sustained breathing became too intellectually taxing and I passed out.

LIL JOHNNY!

I mean there's no way we could be #66....we did beat at least 4 teams in the tournament. So at least #62...geez get it right...
