It is often deserved to give accolades to an individual star.  Many times, regardless of the team sport, that special person with the "x factor" will carry a team.  However, as proven last night (and many other times in various sports), more often than not, it is the team that truely wins championships.  I take nothing away from Candice Parker.  She is one of the most gifted basketball players I have had the privelege of watching play.  In the end, the "Lady Vols" won that championship together as one unit.  The starters, the bench, the assistants, and arguably the greatest coach in history (all sports included), Pat Summitt.  Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Volunteers, and to a fantastic season.

Well-fought, and much success to all the players in the future.
