Just our luck, but its what I wanted. Another Bruins and Canadians playoff matchup. I'm sure everyone will be picking Montreal to prevail, and probably sweeping the Bruins and making it 12-0 on the year against our Bruins. I see it diffrent, I truly believe the Bruins will win. Heres why; 1968 the Bruins were the 3rd seed in the East, Montreal came in and swept the Bruins. 1969 the Bruins post 100 points for the first time, finish second in the East, all to get swept by the Candians once again in the semi-finals. 1971 Bruins once again finish 1st and lose to Montreal in 7 games. I could keep going and going but you guys get the point. Montreal owns the Bruins in the playoffs, upsets or not. Its our turn now, paybacks a bitch and its time for payback. Go Bruins... BELIEVE

I do believe....but here's why....
The B's powerplay has been better of late......their style of play should be good against a team like Montreal but the Canadiens have alot of guys who carry the puck well which negates the trap....they NEED to bang these guys around ALOT.....that's first...
Second....Thomas verses Price.....Neither has playoff experince of note....difference here is Thomas has been fighting to just play in the NHL for years!!! He plays well and he still gets criticized...let's get it straight he's not the best goalie around, but he is let's say "weathered" meaning he'll be able to handle the pressure of the playoffs as he's lived it for 3 years now every time he hits the ice....Now Price is VERY good, but if the Bruins can get a few goals on this kid the pressure could get to him....Playoff hockey is extremely different from regular season....
Third...why not?? if you told me that Begereon gone for year, fernandez gone for year, murray to miss a huge chunk, alberts out, chara misses games when needed, and SAVARD misses the most important games of season, etc.....and then if you told me they would be in the playoffs?? I would have said you are "f'ing nuts".....So, I repeat why not???

i agree, why not...........playoff games always come down to a break here and a break there, the powerplay is key, as well as penalty killing. and of course goaltending.
The Bruins have nothing to lose, everyone will pick us to lose in 4 or 5, ALL the pressure is on Montreal!!!

There isn't a team I hate more in the NHL than the Canadians. I would love to see the Bs pull what the Canadians did to them a few years ago when the seeding was reversed and they beat the Bruins as the 8th seed.

After watching that ugly superbowl and seeing the Giants pull of the upset of the century. I truly believe anyone can win any time so dont count the Bruins out.
