Gregg Doyal just wrote an article explaining why Memphis was going to loose to the Bruins. Since He was totally wrong he has quickly posted an excellent article concerning the dominance of the Tigers over the Bruins. I guess this is his way of eating crow and finally becoming a believer. Why did it take you so long Gregg? And where is Video_Bruin? He need to post something nice about the Tigers now that we have demolished his precious little bears.

Yeah, Doyel is a fool...

Why would he even consider leaning towards one team in a matchup of #1 seeds? He should quit trying to save face and admit that he jumped on the "memphis is overated" bandwagon. Memphis was flat out nasty against UCLA and still look eager to prove people wrong!

Congratulations Mr. Doyle,

You are one of the very very few who predicted Memphis would lose and then gave accolades where they were due.

All the other "Talking Heads" who predicted our losses, never came back and gave us credit.

At least you can admit when you're wrong.......KUDOS to you.

I disagree.  To actually have "eaten crow", you have to say something along the lines of, "I was wrong."  Greg Doylie never seems willing to say that.  Instead of calling this "eating crow", I'd call it "kissing a&&".

The most ridiculous statement I've ever read in a professional sports publication is Doyels claim that Collison fouled out on purpose because he wanted out of the game.  That's just low class, obnoxious, and stupid.  1.  He's making a totally classless cut on the guys' character.   2.  i've never met a b-ball player in my life who would try to get out of a game that way.  I've fouled out of the majority of games I played in and every single time, I was pissed.  Either at myself for a stupid foul or at the ref for a stupid call.

Doyal's was a stupid article.

I underestimated Memphis. I thought after the Miss. St.  game they would go down against Tom Izzo's Spartans. They won. But I still didn't think they were a match for D.J. Augustine and Texas. They absolutely destroyed them too. But I knew they couldn't beat UCLA who had a better player at every position except maybe SF. Although Rose is a terrific player, Collison in my opinion was the best PG in the country. Dorsey was all talk, he couldn't handle Love this year like he couldn't handle Oden last year. And once again I was proven wrong. Memphis killed UCLA also. You have to make free throws to do well in this tournament. That's what I thought. That's what history has shown. But Memphis proved me wrong. I guess I have to believe now.

Actually, if you look at their %s in the tournament, Memphis is making the free throws in the tournament.  You just evidently don't need them before the tournament.
