I've heard enough of Billy Packer already 4 minutes in!!!
Of any of the "national announcers", Billy Packer has the biggest problem concealing his biases. Throughout the game, he'll make remark after remark either praising his favorite team, or denigrating the other team. He seems to favor the major powers, the traditionally-strong programs, and oh yes, the ACC.
It's not that he'll come right out and say "Oh, this team from the Podunk Conference sucks" or "Carolina is the greatest school ever", but the subtle digs keep a'comin'.
For the teams he wants to lose, it'll be:
"Oh, he's shooting good now, but that's gonna end"; "Wow, over the back again and again, and it wasn't called"; "Oh, they may be leading but chances are the strength of (favorite team) will win out soon".
I sure wish they'd get somebody else instead of Billy "Homer" Packer ...
