Agreed - very similar to his dad. Unlikely to ever be a huge star, but he'll have a solid career. Teams are always looking for a sharpshooter.

If you watch the kid play, he finds his own shot. He uses screen and just plain finds open spots. That is the key to being successful at the next level for a shooting guard. He may end up playing point... but I think he could have a nice future, especially if he grows an inch or two and puts a little weight on. He is only 19.

Dude you are out of your mind Tyler is the man. They said Oden and Durrant will change the face of the NBA. Wrong!! Players who leave school after one year is never ready Tyler will go all four years and have 2 championships. He will go to the NBA and be a great 3 man

Players who leave school after one year is never ready
Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Kevin Durant (20 ppg as a rookie seems pretty ready to me), Greg Oden ( hasn't had a chance yet)
Tyler will go all four years and have 2 championships. He will go to the NBA and be a great 3 man
I would be surprised if Tyler ever averages 20ppg a season in his career, but we never know I could be wrong, also I don't want to offend anyone or sound racist, but when was the last time a white american college player has come to the NBA and lived up to his hype.

to Natch801.
I don't think your statement about Tyler is 'racist' and I'm not offended and I'm a white american former Div. 1 player.
However, I do disagree that Tyler has to avg. 20ppg in a season to be considered a good player. I think he will be a good pro. I think he will struggle against some of the more athletic players in the league for sure but his work ethic, his motor, his bball IQ and his talent, yes I said talent, will keep him in the league longer than Stephen Curry, IMO.
I know they play two different positions so spare me the 'your a crazy idiot' stuff! haha.
Tyler won't see has many double and triple teams in the NBA has he does now and with the right team, meaning some one with a decent passing big man like Garnett Tyler will be able to roam the baseline in a high/low set and get easy baskets and rebounds. I do think he will struggle defensively for a few years but I think he will be a successful pro who stays in the league for 8-10 years.
As for Curry, I think he is a really good college player who is going to struggle in the NBA. He is going to face bigger stronger 1's and 2's almost every night. He can't play the point at the NBA level and he is going to struggle to get to the hole with his limited ball handling skills. Reggie Miller he is not. Miller was 6-7 with long arms that made him play like he was closer to 6-10. AI he is not as well.
Also, I disagree that Curry can 'create' his own shot. He needs multiple picks (like Miller did) to get open. Curry is a 'shooter' not a 'scorer' like AI and believe me guys there is a difference.
I'm not saying Curry is not going to play in the NBA. I'm just saying he is going to struggle because he can't play the point and you can't learn how to play the point while sitting on the bench in the NBA. Saying he can 'convert' over to the point is easier said than done. Just ask Juan Dixon.
Curry will play for about 5 years in the NBA and that won't surprise me especially with the marginal talent level in the NBA these days what with all the high schoolers and 1 yr college players coming into the league.....
Obviously, this is just my opinion...and it's cool with me if you guys disagree...I won't lose any sleep at night if you do..hahaha.
Later.

No way a guy who shoots like Curry plays the point. If they put him at point at Davidson, they're crazy...

As good a scorer Nash has become, he is still a pass first, shoot second guy...I don't see that with Curry who is more of a pure shooter.

right on 80, he better enjoy the next 2 years of college ball. He doesnt have the size or build to be an effective pro shooting guard and his most ideal position would have to be at point but he doesnt have the ballhandling or decision making necessary for the professsional level. I just dont see any sort of NBA potential but then again i dont think anyone would have imagined him ever being this much of a giant killer either....

Well, next season he will get his shot at point. If he wants a NBA career bad enough he will need to prove it then.

DaKihms.....hold your horses. Maybe YOU didn't see it.....maybe the MEDIA didn't see it or say it.....so now you think NOBODY saw it? I beg to differ! He was my guy going into the tournament.....
Size? A.I. doesn't have a problem getting his shot off......last I looked, Gilbert Arenas was eyeballin' folks......size didn't keep Reggie Miller from slashin' throats....and if I'm not mistaken, Ben Gordon led the league in 4th qrt scoring last year.
You're argument is based on what?
