I'm just asking because prior to the tournament, you'd have thought there was a huge conspiracy against their beloved Big 10...
* How does Wisconsin draw a 3 seed?
* How does Purdue only get a 6?
* Indiana an 8???
* Only 4 teams get in? How?
OOPS! More specifically, Badger Fan sure was up in arms. Where are you all now? Let us hear from you!
I'm glad the Big 10 is done. That conference, in every sport, is perennially overrated and under-manned. How about trying to recruit some athletes instead of slow and stodgy locals. How many times can they be embarrassed in the national spotlight before they start keeping up with the times?
Get with it Big 10.

Why? The Big 12 has two teams in the Elite 8. No other conference does. The Big Ten did about as well as expected and got the teams and seeds in they deserved. By playing the "system" with slow white stiffs, Bo Ryan has never beaten a better seed in the tournament. He beat a 9 seed once, otherwise all his tournament victories have come against double-digit seeds. Win games in the pitiful Big Ten, get a good seed, beat double digit seeds, lose against quality teams, go out and get some more terribly unathletic players to place those graduating.

I'll give you this year, the Big Ten was off and other than White and Gordon at IU, had no real stars. Wisconsin and MSU ran into a couple of hot buzzsaws last night and just fell apart, MSU in the first half and WI in the second half. But before you talk too much about your great conference, let's see them actually win something, OK?
Tell me, when was the last time that your conference won an NCAA BB championship? I believe it was 20 years ago, and that was only because Kansas faced another Big Twelve opponent that year. Prior to that, the previous Big 12 NCAA championship was in 1952, and Kansas, about the only Big 12 team ever to make the final game, is a perennial choke artist in those games. The Big Ten's last champ was MSU, I believe in 2001, but they have had several teams in the championship game since then, a lot more than your pathetic choke artist conference.
Maybe this will be the year for the Big 12, but until they win it, stop bragging about how great that conference is. You just don't have any facts to back that up until then.

is that Really your response ETMortgage? So now "you" are a Texas and a Kansas fan? funny the Big 12 looks more and more like the Great 1 (kansas) and the 11 other chumps.
P.S. So how long until you become a Red Sox fan?, i mean now that they are good and the Yanks stink, you will be switching, I just want to know when.

LOL! I realize I brought this upon myself, but I had no idea I'd have to rebut encyclopedia's banality. I WENT to the University of Texas, so why wouldn't I be a fan? Season ticket holder since 1995, WHEN WE WERE TERRIBLE!!! And I've been a Yanks fan since 1985 when Don Mattingly peaked my interest as an 8 year-old just learning to play baseball. And in 1985 the Yanks were mediocre at best.
And if you want to hurt insults, have the NUTS to post YOUR favorite teams. I guess being a Lions fan entitles you from excluding posting your potential bulletin board material.
By the way, UT is in the Elite Eight for the 2nd time in 3 years and 3rd time in the last 6. Guess that entitles us to "chump"ville...
I guess your futility on these boards is the impetus behind your rapidly plummeting Reputation over the past month...

The Big Twelve is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its last NCAA championship, and prior to that, the previous one was in 1952. And since 2000, the Big Ten has had 4 teams in the championship game, while the Big Twelve has had 1 (and lost again).
Come back when you have the next championship in hand, if you live that long.

The Big 12 Conference is currently in its 12th season. Kansas won their titles as a part of the Big 8.
Congrats on having 4 teams in the championship game since 2000...you guys really deserved it.
How does it feel to be owned by DAVIDSON? Come back when you have the next championship in hand...oh wait, the Big 10 always comes in second!

"The Big 12 Conference is currently in its 12th season. Kansas won their titles as a part of the Big 8."
Thanks for further proving my point. They added 4 teams and they still can't get anyone into the championship game except Kansas, who is regarded as a choke artist in those contests.
And I think you'd rather come in second then not be there at all, like the Big Twelve or Big Eight does most years.

So you are glad the big ten is done? What could possibly cause a band-wagoneer such as yourself to hate the big ten? Could it be that the Big tens 1st and 4th teams beat your Texas Longhorns(MSU really spanked you posers), or could it be that the Tigers beat the yankees in the post season recently. I mean seriously, a yankees fan, and a long horn fan? Are you dating Roger Clemens son? The Big twelve is a comedy of overrated football, and ugly basketball, I guess we as the big ten will just have to settle for having tons of pro-players in the big leagues to keep us warm at night during all of those "National Spotlight embarrassments."
P.S. Twice in two years MSU has played Texas in B-Ball, and they (MSU)won both games. When was the last time Texas beat a big ten team? Get with it Big 12. Or should I say Kansas, and Texas get with it, because thats all you have got.

1 team getting to the elite eight from the big east with 8 teams is just as bad as no teams from the big ten in the elite eight with 4 teams in.
If Wisconsin and Mich St. made it to the final four and lost people would still say the big ten sucks. No point in listening to these people who will hate no matter what the circumstances are.

And I didn't even mention that Indiana has more National Basketball Championships then the Big 12 put together(OK st.-2, Kansas-2, Indiana-5) Michigan State also has 2 titles, Ohio state has 1 and so does Michigan. By the way Oklahoma State won their's in 45', and 46', kansas won theirs in the 40's, and in 1988. The big ten has had three titles since then, and over 10 big ten teams have played in the championship game, Also The big ten is the only conference to have 2 teams in the final four, in the last ten years, and they have done it three times. So enjoy bad mouthing are "slow white asses" because this might be your only chance to say we are down for another ten years.

Encyclopedia you might want to go check your encyclopedia.....as far as you saying the big ten is the only conference to put two teams in the final four in the last ten years couldnt be farther from wrong. The sec did it 2006 with florida and lsu, in 2004 the acc did it with georgia tech and duke, in the 2003 the big 12 did it with texas and kansas, and again in 2002 with oklahoma and kansas and that is just the last 5 years while the big 10 has only done it once in 2005 and that was the last time they even had a team in the final four.
