Can't be the Gauchos without an EPIC FAIL! I heard Bob Williams all season blaming bad losses on health issues . . . BS. Admit you suck as a coach. How do we lose to UCI 3 TIMES!!!! That is terrible. Most wins in UCSB history, and then a first game loss in the Tourney. Way to go. This game was a gut-check. None were to be found. Al Harris was playing a team that should highlight his ability to finish around the hoop and get to the foul line. He couldn't finish and couldn't make all his free throws. If we shoot a respectable free throw %, we win that game. Devine punked out, again. I hope we can get a player with balls. I want to see more of Roemer's D, and Powell's O. I want to see if our new 7' recruit will be a pansie or a stud.

Good luck in the NIT . . . best you could have hoped for.

Bad thing here is that because of such a "good season" Bob Williams can't be considered to be on the hot seat. He should be axed. If we could somehow persuade Curt Pickering to come coach for us . . . it would be beautiful

Leslie you said it earlier in the season and I couldn't fathom the idea.  Bob Williams may not be the worst coach but he does not seem to be the coach for this program.  With quality talent they won a record number of games.  But, to lose to one team three times in one season has to be questionable.  The preperation of the players obviously wasn't what it should have been for big games this season.  The record number of wins does not get the coach fired but there are assistance that should be looking over their shoulders.  Assistant coaches is where you get toughness and attitude.  We'll see what happens during selection Sunday (NCAA or NIT), either way a record season was had by some deserving players.
