Indeed. Tonight is the only night I'll be mildly worried, with Happ being called up to go against Santana. Too bad Myers had to be optioned. Otherwise today would've been Santana/Hamels II.
But i still think the Mets will do well. And if they get swept or lose 3 of four, I will start a thread called "Congratulations Phillies" which will not be very fun.
Good job by the Phils being clutch in game 1. I have to say, though, that the Mets brain trust showed its ignorance in the 9th inning. No way should they pitch to Shane Victorino with first base open and a right hander on the mound. Take your chances with Coste and bring in a lefty if they go with a pich hitter.
Hindsight is 20-20, but I would have thought that the Mets had made a mistake in the ninth no matter how it might have come out.
